Hello, I have tried everything to fix this issue of the stylist glitching out after doing the makeup, changing skin tone, hair, using debug menu on chair, people, and it is still not working, and it only started after update today. Can I please have someone assist me with this, as I am clueless on what to do now and cant do acting at the moment unfortunately. I also don't have any CC or Mods installed.

I'm having the same problem ,and it's just with hair a make-up everything else is fine. I thought spamming the chair would help! Nope took to long and sent me home without finishing the other tasks
I am having the same issue. I do all other "tasks" but tried hair and makeup 3 times and won't go away and can't move on. Tried restarting the game and my computer, I don't have any MODS. Never get famous at this rate. Can't say its new because it's the first I've played Acting career. Please help?

I am also getting this with no mods installed. It's definitely a glitch with the stylist, because I also got a reset while trying to socialize with her.
I was however able to get my sim to wardrobe and to do all his other tasks.
Yes same thing happening to me. Make up seems done but the artist starts reading a book or looks at phone, anything but finishing the hair.
On PC, newest update installed. No mods, never had.

Same thing is happening here after the major update.
I already reinstalled, clicked in repair, excluded my saves and nothing works!
My sim still sits in the chair, the designer starts working on something; sometimes he makes a mistake on the first try, sometimes he doesn't, but in all cases, he gives up, and the action is incomplete, and neither is his career mission. My Sim's action bar is stuck bugged until they exit the career path.
Has anyone solved this?
I'm experiencing the same issue with The Sims 4: Get Famous acting career.
During an acting gig, the "Get into Hair and Makeup" task does not complete properly. My Sim can interact with the styling chair, but the task stays unfinished / does not count as completed.
I do not use mods or custom content.
Things I already tried: resetting the Sim and the styling chair, repairing the game, deleting localthumbcache.package, placing a new styling chair / makeup chair on the lot with bb.enablefreebuild, leaving and re-entering the gig, and trying the interaction multiple times. None of these fixed the issue.
Platform: PC / EA App (Mac)
Pack affected: Get Famous
Game version: Latest update as of May 14, 2026 (most recent patch installed)
Expected result: The hair and makeup interaction should complete and the gig task should be marked as done.
Actual result: The interaction does not complete correctly and the "Get into Hair and Makeup" task remains unfinished.
I’m experiencing the same issue on my Mac. I can’t complete a film shoot because the task of getting hair and makeup done isn’t marked as finished. It still lists it as the next task in the sims queue stack, even after the hair has been done.
