Recently starting playing with horse ranch again. I wanted my sim to adopt a rescue horse, but when I call the animal ranch exchange (or use computer, or use the info board) the pop-up doesn't appear so I cannot adopt the horse. The only way it works is to travel into town to the Equestrian Centre.

This works fine for me on PC. Possibly XBox issue.
I think I found the source of my issue. My lot is set to Off the Grid - they have water collectors and solar panels. So the phone doesn't work because off the grid - which is probably why the community sign doesn't work - but its confusing since it doesn't give the error that I am Off Grid so the sign has no power and therefore doesn't work - and it doesn't make sense that a community sign/board needs power to work.
