Issues after May 28th update (pc)

Hey, i recently updated my game and it gave me the message on ea stating ‘Repairs needed, some of your files are corrupted, a simple repair should do the trick’ I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this!

However, i have uninstalled the game, reinstalled it without for rent incase it was causing issues, removed all my mods and CC and it is still not working and have repaired it about 5 times, it keeps coming up :((

Could you look into this?

I have an acer nitro 5 (V15) laptop, if that helps!

  • _Pagxn666  I've moved your post to the Sims 4 PC tech section since this is a technical issue and not a game bug.  The typical cause of this error is an antivirus blocking Sims 4 from running.  So please set exceptions in your antivirus for TS4_x64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64, or the entire Bin folder they're in.  Set one for EADesktop.exe while you're there.  This article has a few examples of how to do this with common AV programs:

You may need to repair the game (EA App > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair) as well.

I’ve repaired the game countless times.
It says i’m missing DLL files however i have not touched them. My antivirus has never blocked the sims 4 (and previous sims games)

  • _Pagxn666  An antivirus can start blocking a program after that program updates, or the AV updates.  It happens a lot with Sims 4.  And I was saying you may need to repair alongside setting the exceptions, before (to restore a missing .exe) or after (to restore something else the AV didn't let a previous repair put back), not that repairing alone would have any effect.

So please set those exceptions and see what happens.  If that doesn't help, please disable your antivirus entirely, temporarily of course, repair yet again, and see whether the game will work without the AV running.  As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.

If none of this helps, please post a screenshot of the message about the missing .dll files.  It might be pretty important here.
