[L&D] Grim Reaper career is broken

Since the August patch, I've been unable to complete some quests during my Grim career. Rogue ghosts appear in the corner of the lot without their ghostly form, both in the career and in scenarios. Same for deceased Sims: the NPC doesn't appear and I can't complete my tasks. I don't use any mods.
