[LDSP] No washing machine on lot although there is

Also did you test this on both a Mac and a PC ?

I've had this issue for the LONGEST time. Washing machine becomes 'unavailable' after 1 or 2 washes. The only way to fix it is to sell it and buy a new one. Then it happens again 2 washes later. 

I have tried:

• resetting the machine and laundry baskets
• buying new laundry baskets
• upgrading and not upgrading 
• moving them away from the walls/possible obstructions
• switching households and moving house
• new saves
• putting it in the household inventory and back again
• removing all mods and starting a new vanilla game (this began long before I installed mods)
• reinstalling the whole game
• repairing the game

Same here. The game detects that the washing machine has clothes in it, even when it’s empty. It doesn’t let you use the “hang clothes” or “put in dryer” interaction, which would change the washing machine’s state to “empty.” So the only solution is to delete the washing machine and buy a new one. Very disappointing.

I have a stacked washer and dryer and a hamper in a 2x2 room. I have previously washed and dried laundry in this room. However, now when I click on the hamper (full of dirty clothes), the option to add the laundry to the washer is grayed out because there is "no available washing machine". I have tried moving the washer/dryer stack, putting the washer in the household inventory and taking it back out, selling and replacing the washer, selling and replacing the whole washer/dryer stack, and repairing the game. Still I can not wash the laundry because the game thinks the washer is not available.

Playing with all packs (expansion, game, stuff) and many kits, mods disabled.

You purchase washing machines and dryers and they work fine at first, but after some time (not sure if anything specific happens) they become completely unusable for my sims. I’m sure I’ve seen the butler use them despite my sims not being able to, though.

You can upgrade them and add additives, but you cant make your sims do the laundry.

Could you please provide the following information

Ps5 player, so no mods. 

The first report sounds accurate. I’ve noticed mine has the green dot too and the option to wash clothes is never available, though I always check through the machines instead of the baskets. 

I read the first report you linked and I will admit I’m not currently having this issue, I recalled experiencing this maybe a few months ago now and my fix was to just sell the appliances and replace them, upgrade them, and then do it all over again when they broke. I haven’t paid much attention since then but it came back to mind, and I personally hadn’t seen anyone else report it, so I assumed it hadn’t been reported maybe there has been a fix since then, but I wanted to be safe rather than sorry.

In another save (no mods, all packs), I was not able to do wash clothes in the washing machine (no available washing machine) during Court, but later was able to during a date.

Addendum: In another save, I was not able to move clothes to a dryer "because there was no available dryer" during Court. After ending Court, transferring clothes to the dryer was again available.
