[LLQE] Royal Enovy does not arrive at Magnolia Park/Not winning chess

I am having the same exact problem. There was a confusion at first because she wasn't there when I started playing. Then I switched tables when she appeared. At first they seemed to be playing but there was no chess piece interaction nor logic or anything. Finally, hours later after nothing happened, and my needs practically depleted, I went back home.

Since then, every time I have tried to return and even call her to the lot at the park, she never appears! I need to finalise this sole task to move on! Lastly, I tried to save the game, exit, and return another day (human day), but it continues to act the same way. I don't want to create a new game because my current sim is so amazing already! Please help fix!

She only appeared on my own LOT when i called her - then again deleted the 50x50 lot in willow creek and replaced it with Magnolia Blossom park - waited and waited, clicked on the chess table to "play with.." but she never showed up. Clicked on my sim to "invite emissary over to lot" - she never showed up. Did this many times when my sim was in the park from 6am to 10pm - chatted her on the phone - apparently she showed up in onother event "hang out with friends" but never showed up at the park... why is that???? I am on mac have no cc 

#updated: I quit the game and restarted it - this time travelled to the park (make sure you find the point of entry) - after calling the envoy over (click on your sim to call the envoy) - go to the entry point of the park (where townie sims appear and disappear) and there is the envoy. Pause the game and quickly start chatting with her. Pause again and take her to a chess table. My sim's logic level is 5 and my sim won and a new quest is gained

#Note: next quest was municipal muses - i put it the original municipal muses on a 40x30 lot in willow creek - it did not work - it never detected that my sim travelled to municipal muses even though it was the maxis version - so you HAVE TO PLACE the original municipal muses museum (maxis) on the EXACT LOT it was originally built - so i had to bulldoze my edited lot to replace it with maxis on the particular lot - only then the quest progressed.

Soooo, i have a workaround. I was able to go to the townie spawn point and call her to the lot. When I selected play with it showed her responding with the blocked path bubble, so I enabled testing cheats and then selected her and the reset object option. I was then able to get her to go to the chess table to play.

Edit: She didn't stay to play chess, but she was able to move past whatever was blocking her

Not sure if I accidentally found a workaround, but meeting the envoy at Pupperstone Park in Brindleton Bay worked for me (I never tried Magnolia as it didn't specify which park). I'm also on Mac

For me, she showed up at Magnolia Park but my sim was called to work before she could play chess. When I returned to the park again the Envoy would not show up and I couldn't invite her to the lot. I tried a new save and she wasn't even in the world for that save file.

I have now managed to get it to work. I went back into the save file that I was playing the quests on. I went to the park then returned home, invited the Envoy to my home lot, added a chess table and it allowed me to challenge her there rather than the park.

I had the exact same experience as spanz12 - I went to the park (at night because I was playing a vampire sim), the envoy appeared, I played chess with her for ages (with 10 logic + focused) and the objective never completed even though the board kept getting reset. The sun came out so I had to have my sim leave and come back when it was dark again, but now the envoy won’t appear on the lot again, in this or any other of my saves (which is usually how I solve any blockers). The envoy has not moved into a house in any of the 3 saves I tried. I tried creating a new save, and the envoy doesn’t spawn in households at all after waiting a full day.

ETA: After trying the new save, I was able to call the envoy over to my sim’s house on the very first save I tried it on and suddenly beating her at chess at my sim’s house took 20 sim minutes and finally progressed the quest. This notably did NOT work yesterday, so I don’t know what changed. I also have no idea if it’s supposed to work on the home lot, but give it a shot if you can get her to show up, I guess.

She wouldn't come to Magnolia Park for me either.  I called her to my home lot and she played chess with me there.  The objective completed even though we weren't at the park.

I just tried again today to summon the envoy because she's still not showing up for me at all and I tried everything recommended again and in a new save but she won't show up at all now and when I try to summon her it always says sim not found. I have no mods and I'm doing this on a windows 11 computer if that helps any. 

As my comment was merged with this thread, I would like to reiterate my problem effects even home lots with the "Summon Emissary" function, it did it on day 1 and it did it again in Mangolia Park...it seems to me that there are several separate but similar bugs that need addressing, in this thread. Both times I found workarounds that involved being patient and reloading lots (day 1 by changing households to a nonoccult (was trying to do the event with a fairy), and Mangolia park by traveling to/from the park several times, only to find her on the border outside the screenspace. Both times Summon never did properly summon her, but I found her roaming off-lot in the neighborehood instead.)
