I have the same thing. Both Sims are highschool sweethearts and exanged promise rings. They did marry and can do all of the romantic options excapt woohoo. They are completly compatibel in CAS.
This is the first time that I have exchanged promise rings again after the bug that prevented the ability to propose.
Other Sims without the promise ring born in game or made in CAS are still able to woohoo.
Edit:
I made them break up. Then they got to gether again. Now they can woohoo. But I don't want the relationship to be messed up.
He is a sim, born in game from my sim and a romance via cupids corner from the gallery.
She is Cassandra Goth (Van de Kerkhof) I play in Dutch.
I play on pc, no mods, no cc.
