Finally fixed it! I did what the comments above said, MCCC to delete their relationship completely. Then I did a introduction and used MCCC to max out their friendship and romance levels. Worked like a charm!
Now I have to elope because I'm not paying for a wedding again 😅
Wait, don't have them elope. Clear the marriages under the cheat system in the game. Then take them into cas.fulleditmode and voila you can then make them spouses again. I just did it, so I know it works.
