Packs/Worlds showing as deactivated in-game/Not active after purchase

I'm having the same issue :(

I didn't play on my Mac for a month (I usually play on my PC, but use the Mac to test new patches), and downloaded the 2 last EA kits on the Mac. They show in my manage addons as installed (see screenshot), but in game they are missing, and my save file from my PC that already used them, shows that they are missing as well (on the Mac only). But when I tap on the button "view packs" ("view details for the required packs") they show as "OWNED".
Something is broken in how the game now recognises owned DLC - I can see it in the bug report forum for [PS] already, but in that thread also PC players are raising they have that issue, but the bug report title is still on [PS] and waiting for additional reports:

What I tried:

• Removed all mods
• Removed config overrides
• reset EA app cache
• repair game
• uninstall the 2 packs again and re-download again
• delete all cache files in the Sims 4 folder (thumbnailcache and the localsimtexturecache)
• Re-checked account / purchase issues, but all was good and purchase shows as completed
• Checked folders are in the correct place (On my mac they are in the "Applications -> The Sims 4 Packs" folder, the same way as other Kits are as well (and in the Applications -> The Sims 4 Packs -> __Installer -> DLC folder as well)
• didnt try a fresh install yet as i saw above users tried it already without success and I'm worried at the end I have no DLCs working :(
  EDIT: I thought I'll give the clean uninstall a try, but the instructions above are not for MAC? Can you add instructions for MAC as well please?

Would appreciate any help if anyone has been able to fix their game, as I am worried to buy any content now given it will likely also not show up in my game anymore.
