In my game, this seems to happen more often whenever I use any of the "save and" features. So, save and go to manage worlds, or save and exit, or when I exit to the main menu from my game. So, my current workarounds are to save the game then go to manage worlds without exiting, or save the game then exit without saving, and to just exit the game completely if I want to switch between save files. It's been working so far. Just a pain to remember.
