Platforms and half walls affect roof trims

If you place a platform close to a roof, it causes a visual glitch on the roof trim on both sides. This only happens when the roof has inward-facing eaves (when the roof overhang is pulled inward).

The same thing happens if you place a half wall close to the roof, such as when creating a chimney. The roof trim glitches on both sides.

The screenshots were taken on a PS5. I also tested this on a Mac with no mods installed, and the same issue occurs.

The bug only happens when the roof eaves are pulled inward.

I have the same issue but found a kind of workaround for me.
I' ve used the flat square -> Then placed a roof -> Then added a roof trim and leveled the floor up.

As I said it's only a workaround and I am not sure whether it is feasible everywhere.

Same. Platforms and half walls interfere with roof trims destroying the appearance of builds that are more complex than just a box with a basic roof.
Perhaps the building tools could be left alone once fixed back to how they were before the last update that messed them up?
