Ideas
I've got questions around how we're meant to be re-reporting bugs that are currently on Collection Pages to be removed tomorrow.
- Can the collection pages be archived somewhere we can still read them?
- Is it up to the commenter/other players to create the new bug report from scratch? Or can comments be moved to new threads by EA?
- In my experience the forums don't allow copy-paste / downloads of embedded screenshots from comments (only attachments can be redownloaded). Particularly important to demonstrate CAS glitches, and makes it way more time-consuming to re-report.
- I'm concerned players who only check the forums sporadically won't know their reports under the collection thread have been removed. Getting all those screenshots and asset names together takes time and effort, and it doesn't feel very customer or community-oriented to just delete them.
- How separate do the new "1 per issue" reports need to be?
- Should we make one report per CAS asset, or per issue impacting multiple CAS assets? E.g. issues where dresses paint on several shoes, or outfits discolour nails?
- Some of the collections already WERE for 1-issue bugs, that impacted several assets. (e.g. [COLLECTION] Clothing That Don't Tuck Correctly). Could these just be changed into a regular report with voting enabled and looked into together, with any assets EA don't have the resources to fix in one go be moved to a new report?
- How would you like us to group reports for CAS assets with incorrect tags? By tag category (e.g. hot/cold weather) or by individual clothing? Can we still group the assets in some way?
- I'm concerned otherwise this will make it far more difficult for Simmers visiting the forums to find and vote on all the near-identical reports, and they'll all just end up lost in the "insufficient reports" category. I know from my limited cc use that it's very simple to fix tags in Sims4Studio, so it would surely be more efficient to have a list of the impacted assets in one place.
- For the things not counting for the Scouting Career collection, do we make one report per activity that's not counted, or one report for each badge?
- If there are existing reports that were locked after the creation of a collection page, should we make a new report linking to them? Or is there another way you would like us to advise a Hero or Community Manager to reopen them? Here are 2 I know of:
Thanks so much!

I am also rather confused about this. As a long time simmer who has seen the same issues reported on AHQ, to then the Forums' Collection Threads to now individual threads, I am confused on what is going on. Especially issues like spelling errors, that take 2 seconds to fix, why do they need to have individual threads? Even AHQ had one combined for those.
In saying that, they rarely fixed anything from collection threads, so perhaps individual are better going forward? However because these issues are minor, nobody is going to vote for them so it definitely feels like they will just end up in the Awaiting Additional Reports Category.
I love the sims, i just want the minor issues like spelling errors and missing clothing and the collection thread stuff fixed. - crinrict1 month agoHero+
I've merged this with the question thread as that's what it's for.
I can't answer any of these questions so I'm leaving this to Solaire/Cade to answer.
Please for the future, use this thread for questions around the bug forum.

Disappointing that we never got clarity on any of this, and EA just went and removed all our feedback with the collection pages.
My "Crafts don't count towards Scouting Arts and Crafts badge" report that I mentioned at the end of my questions was NOT a collection page - it was just locked and copied to the collection page - but it has also been disappeared.
It took me ages to find that code and test the crafts. I didn't think I'd need to re-report it considering the standalone report could've just been unlocked.
