  • I noticed Pottery [BH] isn’t counted as a “craft” towards the Scouting after school activity's “Arts & Crafts” badge (“To earn this badge, make crafts, drawings, or paintings”).

Looking at the tuning file in S4S, it appears the badge activity is missing at least 6 kinds of crafts

                <E>Func_AnimalObject_AnimalClothes</E>

    Missing crafts I tested in-game:

    • Flower Arrangement [S]
    • Candlemaking / Fabricating [ECO]
    • Cross stitch [CoL]
    • Friendship Bracelets [GRO]
    • Nectar [HR]
    • Jewelry & Gemstones [CCSP]
    • Pottery [BH]

NOTE: Tattoo design on the sketchpad [BH] DOES count as a craft because it counts as a painting.

Nectar might be a stretch on my list - if you include that, you should also include juice fizzing [ECO] - but the others should certainly count as crafts.

    Hi classybananasala

why is this related to parenthood ?

Probably going to make a collection thread for the scout badges as we already have several threads on them now.

  • Swimming & diving activities also don't seem to count for keep fit. I don't think things like snowboarding, skiiing, hiking or rock climbing do either, but swimming seems like a bigger oversight lol. I'd also consider horseback riding to make sense for keep fit, but I can see how that could be debatable.

Papercrafts and Archery from Adventure awaits should count as crafts and sports respectively.

  • In the new Adventure Awaits expansion pack, I saw it was advertising Summer Camps as a creative possibility. I was excited to create a "Llamacorn Scout Summer Camp" - a camp where Scout-Sims (Children and Teens) could finish up their badge progress during a summer break/getaway...

...but with so many Child Activities (including the newest ones like Archery, Diving, and Kayaking) missing from Scout Badge Progress, it really limits what kind of Scout Camp I can create.

Really a shame, this was the one thing I was really looking forward to in Adventure Awaits. 💔

Please add all the missing activities from all the packs to the Scout Badge Progress. Increase the Badge Progress Amount Requirement with each addition (0/6 to 0/12, etc.) so it doesn't get too easy like the Bucket List.

Today, a mod that addresses this specific Scout issue was updated.  Mods are great for PC Simmers, but Console Simmers don't have that luxury, and not everyone on PC wants to use mods. So, if EA consistently supported features like "Scouts," Simmers would rely on EA's support instead and use fewer mods. Then, the use of fewer mods would cause less confusion when diagnosing bugs... just a thought.

If support for features like "Scouts" are currently maintained more efficiently by modders, then I also suggest the team consider the idea of allowing access to mods on all platforms. It would expand the game's ecosystem and longevity... Many other games have done the same in the past with great success.
