It depends on a variety of factors. I’ve found that avoiding the use of residential rental lots on a fresh save seems to prevent the corruption. I wish I could get a refund on For Rent since that is the primary cause of corruption in my game.
Agreed as I found out in my game that if you have a lot and turn it into a residential lot, the game now sees that same lot size as being the lot times the number of rentals it has which significantly adds to the object load. Therefore, I do not use any of the features that came with the For Rent pack except for CAS and Build items.
i also now always load into the Archive lot in Willow Creek in build mode to make sure it is still intact and nothing is missing before I save the game because I have found that the orange triangles no longer appear over lots that get corrupted. Also, I save the game frequently or at least after significant progress and I always use “save as” only so different save files are created just in case I find a problem and I have to go back to a previous saves. I know this is alot of extra work but it’s much less effort than it would be to have to start over again in the game because of a save corruption.
