I haven't found a fix yet. Deleted the corrupted lots with sims4studio helps only a little. I was able to get the lots to stop disappearing by moving the Sims 4 folder to my desktop and then launching the game so it will generate a new folder and then moving my saves and tray over but now I get a error 801. I think it is corrupted lots from the gallery causing this problem. Like a virus spreading. EA needs to remove corrupted lots from the gallery. I also know the For Rent pack seems to be connected to this issue. I noticed mods can make it worse but there are players who have no mods and still run into this issue. The only connection is we all downloaded lots/sims from the gallery and started getting this error.
I don't know why they marge two separate problem - error 800/801 and default lots on background.
I download lots from gallery and i don't have this error but i have problem with default lots.
Now i put night club in SM and default lots appear - awsome!
