Retraining potion removes additional traits

Yeah, I wouldn't mind removing them if it also reset the ability to discover new traits again. As it is, it seems like it shouldn't remove the discovered traits OR the re-traiting potion should let you pick and change the total number of personality traits the sim has at the time. Don't actually know if this a bug or just...not great design, but I either way I hope they give us a fix for it soon. 

Related question: does anyone know if using cheats to remove the self discovery milestones would allow them to discover them again? 

edit: okay, so I used ui cheats to remove the self discovery milestones, but it still didn't seem that my sim could gain any self discovery milestones again. So then I thought I'd try to use MCCC and see it there was some "secret trait" or bit going on and there was! MCCC has a "remove trait" function, but you need to type in the name--or some part of the name--to do it, so I tried just putting in "discover" and an invisible "has maxed self discovery moments" trait popped up (sorry, I didn't write down the exact name, but it was something like that). So I removed it, and now my sim is able to discover new traits again (they've gotten a new one already, so I know it works).

Anyway, it's a clunky solution requiring mods, but I thought I'd share just in case anyone else might find it useful.
