I put this here but it is either a new bug or new information regarding this issue. You decide.

I placed the sun awning at the end of the day, sent sims home to sleep and go to work the next day, cameback after their work day to continue building and stocking the retail store I just created and found that it snowed under the object! Sunspot Awning
This object is what I have always used for outdoor events in case of rain/snow, however, it no longer functions that way. I found nothing like it under bug reports, I read all 350 posts in this thread to see if any reported weather going through an object and no one has.
I used cursor to show that table was built on the woodworking bench, as were the end tables you see in picture - neither of which are white on top.

as said before, once an issue is under investigation, it's on EA's plate and my part is done (unless it's a super interesting issue which this one for me is not).
So I would appreciate it if you tag a CM if you need something for these and not me.
