[S] Weather Effects Occurring Inside Structures

This is happening to my game as well. For rain and snowfall. I am on MAC with no mods or cc, all expansion packs except for Life and Death, Lovestruck, Horse Ranch, and Businesses and Hobbies. This new update is horrid.

I've been playing sims 4 for about a decade now, the sims as a whole for over two decades. I've normally  just grinned and took it whenever a glitch was occurring and I had to wait for a patch, or I had to run a repair on my game, etc etc. I didn't even post on any forum thread before this, just lurked. But this glitch was really the final straw for me, considering the fact that weather is a crucial and core component of a prominent DLC (Seasons) and it is just..fully broken due to an update/patch EA has thrown at us. It does not matter whether I have mods or not in the game, this issue still occurs for me. The weather appears inside even when I have both ceiling and roofs properly applied to the home, and electronics such as radios will break due to rain in the livingroom...
I highly recommend making as much noise as possible about this. We spend quite frankly an outrageous amount of cash on this game and we deserve, at the absolute least, to have a core DLC functionality be working without fully disrupting the overall game. I understand that the developers are consistently overrun with support requests, but the only way things like this gets any attention is if you bang the loudest pots you can find.

This has been going on for such a long time and it's very annoying an immersion breaking. Would be really nice to have some kind of communication whether this is going to be fixed soon, since there's been at least a couple of patches out now where this issue went ignored, and it wasn't even on the laundry list.

This is still happening to me on Xbox X ever since Life & Death came out. Yall have put out 2 updates since and haven't fixed this simple thing, ruining the immersive real feelings of things. I have spent over 1000k on all packs. Not cool.

This is clearly a huge issue and is happening in so many peoples games it's ridiculous. This absolutely needs to get fixed. Too many people are reporting this issue for it to be a one off bug, especially when our games have been bugged like this for months now,

I too am having this issue as well. I had to turn off thunderstorms and snow in seasons because there was effects from the storm even through the house walls and ceiling. I am debating just turning off seasons for now and let it be sunny indefinitely. 

Never had this glitch until today (March 10-11 2025). Raining outside and a lot of my electronics stopped working inside the house, mostly in the basement. I've been playing this family since 2014 in the same house but it's been since last October that I rotated back to it. I did notice odd streaks coming down (rain I guess but it didn't look like the normal rain). I also had two fires in a row, not sure if related, and my sim cooking for one of them is a level 10. But never had the glitch in other saves I've been playing lately. Hope there will be a fix ASAP.

I'd like to know where to find loud enough pot to get a reply or acknowledgement in the matter by EA. This thread that has over 280 comments, over 870 up votes, an archived thread that had over 180 "Me Too"s apparently are not loud enough pots. At the very least they aren't loud enough for the them to let us know whether the bug is at least a priority in regards to all the ones that still need to be fixed. 

I get that some things cannot be fixed quickly no matter how much care is being put into it, but not knowing if it is being addressed with the attention it deserves or if it is even being addressed at all is rather irksome. 😑

I've heard a few players complain about sun shining into their homes as well. It just needs to be fixed or at the very least,  it would be nice if EA acknowledged they know its an issue
