Sims are walking around in a circles when on stairs

This started for me July 2... I thought it was a temp glitch after the update, however now it's has happen muti times on three seperate days I've played.

My sims are walking around in cirles when trying to go up or down stairs it seems to happen to one sim more than the other it's super annoying my male sims was walking around in circles during his paranormal career we almost didnt bet the time to get rid of the ghost. 

And you cant stop it. or cancle action the sim just has to stop on thier own and no simsrest doesnt work it makes the sim frezze with their arms straight out and another reset to stop the arms.. It a mess
