"Just" over a year old. And how is this normal? 😅
I am being patient, was for over a year now. I'm just not giving the people a medal for acknowledging a bug after over a year.
It's not normal, I'm agreeing with you. I just meant that it doesn't help if the timeline is exaggerated (even though with the forum's format, it's hard to tell exactly how long it's been since it does say "two years" after a full year has passed). The community is enraged enough (probably rightfully so), so I think it's good to focus on the facts. I've certainly been guilty of posting things angrily; I think we all have at some point.
The fact is, in corporate settings, there are simply never enough hands to do all the work, because payroll is almost always first to be cut. I can't be angry at a team who probably does their best, but is just swamped like every other company in the US (can't speak for anywhere else).
And I know, there's a definite need for more transparency and communication. Lately, they've been better at it. We can't go back and fix what happened (long period of time with no big fixes), but we can be happy it's finally being addressed and also acknowledge that we don't know what or why it's taken so long, but at least they finally have enough people (it seems) or a green light (from EA) to get these done.
Hopefully this was clear and honestly I'm not here trying to pick fights, so hopefully it also doesn't come across that way. I hope you have a great week! :)
