My sims is hungry I try to make him cook but every time I get him to it cancels out the task all together how do I fix it.

Where/what are you cooking? Have you tested in more than one place?
Do you have free counter space?
Have you tested more than one sim?
What happens when the cooking action cancels? Do you have a pathing error, does your sim get interrupted by another task, or is something else happening?
