After the update I had multiple crashes while trying to open the game, I tried repairing and while it will open now it’s EXTREMELY slow and glitchy and I also seem to be missing the option to choose traits in CAS. When trying to click on my sim to change her hair it takes almost a minute for it to even register that I clicked it. It’s unplayable at this point.

SkyyyStan5 Please increase the size of your computer's page file, as described here (option three): https://www.elevenforum.com/t/manage-virtual-memory-paging-file-in-windows-11.8618/ Set the minimum to 12288 and the maximum to 16384, and restart your computer. When you're testing Sims 4, play immediately after a restart, and don't open anything else aside from the EA App. If that alone doesn't help, please try switching back to DirectX 9 mode, which is a check box on the graphics options page.

I was having the same 'missing UI pieces' issue. Now I can’t even get into the game, it just crashes.

Yeah I had the happen like 6 times…. Repairing the game fixed the crashing for me but it’s still unplayable 🙃

my god SAMEEE. except i repaired the game and it did nothing. None of my lots will open, not even base game lots. it takes me right back to manage worlds every time i try to open a lot. idk what else to do :(

SkyyyStan5 K1w1x1 TokyoBratzz Please remove your entire Mods folder and repair the game again, then see how it runs. If your main save still has issues, try a new one, for comparison's sake.

If that doesn't help either, please list your platform (Windows, Mac, Playstation, XBox).

This patch is really buggy even without cc or mods, so deleting them won’t fix the issue:(

I have removed all script mods, I've repaired my game, I've removed my mods folder and its still broken. at this point its just a white screen with music.

Done, it seems to be functional for now, thank you. At what point will I be able to add my mods or cc back?

SkyyyStan5 You can start adding mods and custom content back now, but please keep in mind that this patch broke many mods (not sure about cc). So you may have a number of broken mods that need to be removed or updated.

Since you've seen what happens when you play with broken mods, you'll know right away if what you've added back is faulty, and you can split and test that batch until you find the problem.

I'll move this thread to PC tech now since it turned out to be a tech and possibly mod issue.
