The update broke my game.

After the update I had multiple crashes while trying to open the game, I tried repairing and while it will open now it’s EXTREMELY slow and glitchy and I also seem to be missing the option to choose traits in CAS. When trying to click on my sim to change her hair it takes almost a minute for it to even register that I clicked it. It’s unplayable at this point.

  • Same, I was playing fine over the weekend and now the update has made it so I can’t even open it. It’s like you guys don’t even want my money cause I was planning on buying another pack. Please care about your customers and let us is the product we paid for.

  • nx0gwurbysdu  If you'd like help, please describe what happens when you try to play, and post a screenshot of any error you see.

Please also provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

If you'd rather leave feedback for EA, this is the forum to do so:

Thanks for the response! My EA app won’t load at all except on the rare occasion. Consistently tells me to restart without success. Additionally when I open the game via shortcut, all I get is a white screen with the background music. On the one occasion that I was able to get the EA app to open I tried repairing the game without mods, but that didn’t have any effect. I’m on Windows 10.

  • nx0gwurbysdu  Please uninstall the App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine).  Use the Advanced scanning method when asked.  Restart your computer, download a fresh copy of the App installer, and run it as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."

If Revo can't find the EA App, download the installer and run it.  You'll probably get the option to repair it instead.  Choose that, then use Revo to remove the App, and reinstall it as described above.

If this doesn't help, please post a dxdiag.
