I have the same issue. It's like the Sim just threw on what ever they could find even if its a Bikini top, snow pants and high heels. It's just weird and disconcerting. Are they going to overheat or freeze to death in this outfit? It's like they are a bunch of aliens or wizards who are trying to fit in but have no idea what to wear.
