April 28th update promised a fix to the gallery freezing up issue. This has not been completely fixed. I clicked on 10 items in the gallery normally and then it froze up when I checked again and lost my progress. The curser also moves all over the place. This is unacceptable.
Same issue on XBOX One. The hotfix worked for about a day. Now, same old issue: soft locking whenever I try to place my household. It's extremely annoying, and I haven't been able to play properly much at all since the marketplace update.
Same here. I'm on XBox One. They definitely did not fix the issue at all.
I’m experiencing the same thing. I’m about to quit the sims I’m sick of wasting my money and my time.
Same here, I think it only worked for me once before it broke again. 🙄
When I looked this issue was repirted and supposedly fixed but its not.

When I select a household in my gallery intending to place in workd my game soft locks to that screen. I can't select to place the household, nor can I select anything else or back out if the screen. Music plays as normal and I can move the cursor but nothing will select and I am forced to restart the game entirely.
I’m experiencing a consistent issue with the Gallery on console (Xbox), where the game frequently soft locks when interacting with Gallery items.
I’m able to search and scroll through items without any problems. However, when I click on an item (both new items from the Gallery and items already saved in my library) the game will freeze. It does not fully crash, but it becomes completely unresponsive I cannot back out, select anything else, or continue playing. The only option is to manually close the game and reload.
This happens unpredictably, regardless of item’s popularity (high or low downloads), and makes the Gallery extremely unreliable to use. Because of this I’m often forced to avoid using the Gallery altogether.
Please investigate this issue as I understand i am not the only one experiencing this and makes a core feature of the game very difficult to use on console.
Happening to me on ps5, but only with tattoos and rooms with debug items.
The gallery will lock me onto any page that contains tattoos or rooms with only debug items. Can move the cursor but cant back out without force closing the application, wanted to make a report because im not experiencing this bug with everything on the gallery only these items. Stays loading the uses items from these packs.
Will not load no matter how long i wait and restarting the console doesn't fix it.
The game keeps crashing…while I play… the game shuts down and goes back to the xbox screen….It's been practically unplayable since April 16th….I've lost the will to play it…I just regret spending a lot of money on expansions and packs….
Every time I try and place a tattoo on my sim in CAS, it just gets stuck on the gallery page and won’t let me click out of it. Meaning I have to completely shut down the entire game unable to save.
I play on an xbox series x if that is any help :)
