Rooks appearance free cosmetic bugged
Ever since I downloaded it from the EA app in the add on section for veilguard, the game has been horrifically bugged. It either doesn't start at all OR I go to start a new game , it gets to the loading screen just before minrathous bar scene and it crashes out. Every single time. I've un-installed then reinstalled my game, the graphics drivers n so on and it still does it. So I was wondering if anyone else is encountering this and if so is there a fix on the way? Edit: I can't even remove the add-on from the game because in the ea app where it allows me to view/manage add-ons in my game library, the option to remove the add-on is missingAnyone still not having the DLC show up?
I've decided to start a new thread to see if anyone is still experiencing this issue. It's been 1 month and 3 patches so some people might have had this issue fixed. For me however, I still do not have access to my pre-order and deluxe item DLC. They are installed in my game but they are not unlocking in game for me.Identity change
Hi, first of all sorry for my english. I just want to report bug that happened to me recently. I finished the game once and wanted to do second run. It was all good, created character, got the game runing. After cca 40 hours in game, there was finally chance to lock romance. In that scene my love interest was talking to me as to man, what was confusing because it happened for first time after 40 hours and I was playing as female character. I went to mirror of transformation and there it said man he/him. I was very confused, because as i said i was playing as female. I searched saves and tried to load any of them. In every save I was in the mirror as man. Only one, that i was still female, is the one where i didnt interact with Varics shaving mirror. Even tho I just choose scar option there, it always swaps my gender. It is very disappointing because it happened so late in the game. If it was like 2 hours It would be nothing for me. Whole 40 hours every NPC was talking with me as a woman and now after locking romance it just broke. So far I didnt find any solution for it.Can someone please help?
I pre-ordered the game on October 26th 2024 from Amazon Canada. I received the physical copy of the game on November 3rd. I still have not received the pre-order code from Amazon via email. I have checked all folders, multiple times. I just spent another 30 minutes on the phone with Amazon and all they could do was offer me a $10 credit. They have no way to send out the pre-order code or so I'm being informed. I did request an email to proved proof that the call took place, which I was sent. I had an open ticket through EA help with no success, I was informed it was a known issue. I updated the ticket yesterday or the day before for an update and now it is closed and labeled as No Fix. I have done everything that EA has asked of me and they state that if all else fails they will make it right. I'm just waiting for someone to make it right. Could someone please help?Update Changed Graphics Settings - Locked Me Out
I updated Windows today and now, when I go into the game, my graphics settings are changed and I am locked out of the Strand Hair setting. I was wondering if indeed it was the Windows update that caused that or if the game had an update on the back-end that is preventing me from accessing that setting now. Will updating my GPU ensure that I can access this setting? Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond. Kind regards!Patch unable to load more than 30%
I cannot download the update further than 30%. I already re-started everything, did the solution given from EA to clear cache from the launcher and still it does not load further!? I was looking forward to continue my game today and now I can't and it is very frustrating... anyone having the same problem? Or a solution to fix it? qwq⚠️☠️Mechanics: Major Flaws That Demand Urgent Fixing"☠️⚠️
💩The Absurdity of Breaking Objects for Resources🤮 This is a point that truly defies RPG logic and immersion. Someone thought it was a good idea to have players break barrels, vases, and parts of the scenery to collect valuable items, as if it’s normal for honorable characters, respected leaders, or noble warriors to destroy everything around them in search of coins and resources. In previous titles like Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, and even Inquisition, resource collection was much more natural and immersive, allowing players to find items by defeating enemies, exploring the world, or searching carefully placed chests and hiding spots. This approach maintained narrative focus and encouraged exploration without compromising the player’s chosen character identity. In Vailguard, however, we’re forced to interrupt the game’s pace to break every pot, vase, or barrel in sight. This might seem trivial, but it creates a conflict when considering the characters we’re controlling. Imagine a noble warrior, a paladin, or a wise mage who should uphold integrity and respect for others' property, suddenly turning into a vandal just to gather some resources. For characters with high moral standards or honorable behavior, this mechanic makes no sense. How can we expect a paladin focused on protecting the weak and fighting evil to start destroying merchants' or villagers' items just to earn some coins? For a character like this, it makes no sense to interrupt a serious dialogue or exploration scene to destroy the scenery, as if the goal were indiscriminate looting. This forced mechanic, besides being out of context, undermines the role players aim to perform, which should reflect the character’s choices and values. Putting players in this situation breaks immersion and contrasts absurdly with anyone trying to stay true to a character’s chosen behavior. Additionally, the activity itself is tedious and repetitive. Even a beginner developer might realize that this compromises immersion, especially in a game where storyline and character-building are everything. With this mechanic, our heroes—who should be seen as saviors or respected figures—end up looking like scavengers out for loose change. Why force players into being vandals in an RPG that has always been synonymous with meaningful choices and consequences? Instead, items and resources should be available as natural rewards from combat and exploration, integrated into the narrative, just as they were in previous games. 😐 Save System😒 It’s surprising that, in a game focused on choices and narrative, the save system requires so many clicks. Wouldn’t it be more logical to have a quick shortcut to save and load the game? Imagine the situation: you make a wrong decision, get distracted for a moment, and then, wanting to correct the story’s course, you have to go through several screens just to save. In 2024, it’s absurd that an RPG of this caliber doesn’t offer a basic shortcut for manual saving. Although the game has an autosave system, it doesn’t replace the manual control that every RPG player desires. Especially in a game with so many choices and twists, having total control over saves allows the player to return to specific points and explore different options without relying on autosave points, which don’t always align with the exact moment we’d prefer. Being able to save quickly provides a smoother, uninterrupted experience, which is crucial for immersive RPG gameplay. 👆To be continued…⚠️
