newest update 'license invalid' WTF
since the latest update unable to play sims 4,because apparantly EA is dumb. I tried all their fixes even some from reddit NOTHING unable to start the GAME at all. how does a license be INVALID? Having the original CD ROM does jack,because origin needs to connect to internet WOW EA...at least keep ORIGIN open for such things. So i UNINSTALLED EVERYTHING and re instlled NOTHING. SO annoying that i have to search myself cos EA aint doing NOTHING
The EA App and TS4 won't launch
My Sims 4 won't launch. I have removed all mods from the 'Mods' folder. I have taken the 'Sims 4' folder out of the ‘Electronic Arts’ folder and tried launching with no success. The game has been launched after the recent update, so I dont think it's due to that. The game worked with no issues 12 hours ago. Any and all help is appreciated. -Olivia
Ea app told me to repair it and it won't bc of permission error
So Ea app told me to repair it and it wouldn't bc of permission error. I uninstalled and installed the app again and when trying to download the sims again the same error would apear. I created a new ea games folder... still the same error. I tried looking up the permissions on the ea folder and could change nothing. I changed the permissions on the ea app to administrator and still nothing Attached are pics of the error and the folder and app permissions
My Sims4 Crashes on Startup
I have this issue for months. I did not pay enough attention to know if it was when a specific update came out, but I know it's been happening since at least June. My game crashes upon launch every time - it gets to the Sims4 and then completely crashes. I have uninstalled/reinstalled/repaired countless times. I have tried launching from both EA and Steam. I used to play with mods, but when the crashes started I deleted all of them - so no mods to worry about. Reading through the other posts here, I've also tried checking my ConfigOverride, using a clean game folder, updating drivers, launching in windowed/fullscreen. I'm not sure what else to do ?! I have put hundreds of dollars into this game and 800+ hours, and I just want to play again. Please help! I'm at my wits end. I have attached my dxdiag. THANK YOU!
So Saddened & Disappointed - Any Simmers Relate?
I never thought I would do this as an avid Sim lover and player for over 15 years. But, I have reached a point where I am discouraging people from purchasing the game or purchasing new packs all together. Context: I went three years without playing due to not having a PC and finally (solely to play the game) got one in May of this year with great specs and I am so saddened by what I’ve returned to. This is the most buggy, dysfunctional, frustrating experience I’ve ever had. I can’t play the game for more than 15 minutes without it literally shutting down in my face, and once I fix that, EA sneaks in another update and before I can stop the install, my game is broken again - this last patch is taking the cake for me. Game will not even function with no mods or CC, just base game play and some packs and yet, it’s still a completely broken game. The only things that function seamlessly are CAS and Build Mode, so you’ll spend hours building something that you can’t play. So crazy that I can’t enjoy the things I’ve paid for at their most basic, bare bones level! I even let the game just run for a few hours and let my Sims autoplay and it STILL broke. I have tried bug fixing for houuurs and commented on so many forums I’ve just decided to stop because the game that I paid for, and bought a PC for, that is not only still being sold but constantly has new releases and packs should work without a labyrinth of manipulation tatics and constantly hard resetting my PC (crazy run-on sentence but I’m frustrated so forgive me). Maybe instead of constantly flushing out new broken packs, improve the quality of the game at its current state?! I’m so disappointed and almost hurt by EA’s lack of response to the continuous negative feedback they have been receiving. Mostly, I’m saddened that a game I once loved and spent hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours on has come to this. I genuinely love this game and have so many fond memories playing it but this is starting to feel like a joke. I hope things can come around soon. I don’t know if there’s a petition somewhere but send it my way because this ridiculous. Hopefully, things will improve but boy am I disappointed about what I’ve come back to.
after the update the game does not start
This afternoon I played the sims without problems. As soon as I did the update I closed the game and I can't start it anymore. Only the EA app opens. Whether I click on the sims icon or if I try to start it from the EA app, it seems that the app closes and opens again, but the game doesn't start :_(( does anyone have the same problem? are there any solutions? i was working on a creation :-(((
Sims 4 not loading
I recently updated my game and I am unable to play. The game will not load. I've uninstalled and re-installed the game as well as the EA app and it's still not working. I've cleared my cache and still no game play. When I try to play it takes me back to the app. Can someone please provide some assistance on this?
The sims 4 not updating at all
So, I've been trying to update my game ever since the new update came out, but it is stuck on preparing, calculating time, ever since then. I tried downloading the update the same day it came out as I always do and this has never happened before. I tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the ea app, I'm at the point where I'm considering uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, but will probably take hours to do so I don't really want do do it, also some thing very weird when it's in this state of eternal preparing the ea app just closes out of no where, like nothing happened, I don't get a pop up that the app crashed or anything it is just not open anymore. By the way my game is on a external hard drive, but there's nothing I can do about it cause is the only way I can play, because my computer dose not have enough space to download the game and I still be able to use it for anything els. I don't know what to do any more.
[DO] Can't request table in restaurant on a date
Hello! When playing the sims 4 I have asked other sims on a date or to hang out then travel to a restaurant. When requesting a table to be seated, nothing happens. The game doesn't proceed to the next action for the couple/friends to be seated. I have repaired and updated the game, but still no solution. I have noticed that when my sim is alone and requests a table to sit and dine, they are able to do so. It only happens during an event like asking on a date or hang out. I have tried different venues as well and happens no matter what venue I choose. Please how can this be fixed? Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title fit bug report at AHQ
