Gallery Won't Connect

Question

I recently downloaded the Sims 4 on my Mac and it was running just fine until one day I tried to access the community gallery to download a house to my lot and it said that a connection was required. When I selected the 'connect' option it would just load forever and not do anything. I have tried clearing my computers cache, restarting and updating my computer itself, resetting my wifi router, resetting the Sims 4, and even deleting the whole EA app as well as Sims 4 off of my computer, only to redownload it and have the same problem. I am at my wits end! I have looked at so many forums and tried everything everyone has suggested and NOTHING is working, so I decided to make a post myself. If you have any tips, let me know please!!

I’m having this same issue. I switched from using PC and wanted a fresh start on my MacBook but have no way to connect to the gallery when in game

No, I don't have anything like that, and I also don't have firewall running either.

I'm encountering the same issue. The EA app has been randomly kicking me offline since I was forced to install it. Like you, if I choose connect in the gallery, it just sits there and loads until I give up. What is working for me is this: minimize the game, go into the EA app and tell it to go online, go back into the game gallery and choose connect. A few times I've had to quit the game and then go online in the app and restart my game, but usually I can just minimize it.

Do you have any apps running, either on the Mac or at router level, that could be blocking the connection? Do you have a pi-hole or similar setup?
