Receiving "there is a problem with your game's setup" error after latest update
Hello! This is the first time I have received this error and I don't know what to do! I already contacted EA for help, and they redirected me to post about it on the forums. What happens is when I try to launch Sims 4 to play, I receive an error stating "There is a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall the game." (attachment provided) I removed all cc/mods and additional files (like saves and tray) to a different location. I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall both Sims 4 and the EA App thoroughly and did the scan after. I reinstalled both the EA App and Sims 4, which took all night, and error still remains. I tried doing a repair on the Sims 4 game, error still remains. At this point, I have no files from the game so this is completely mod and cc free. Before the update, I had no issues. I have had played Sims 4 ever since the first game released and this is the first time I have seen this error. I have no idea what else I can do! Is the game just unplayable for me now? I will note I am running an older version of Windows (Windows 7 to be exact). I did another suggestion that said to run dxdiag to receive error info (also attached). So I have already done this step. Please help!Solved737Views6likes12CommentsAfter build/travel glitches
Everytime I exit build/buy mode or get to my destination after traveling, all of the options on the bottom of the screen disappear. i can't select anything, not even with the keyboard shortcuts. Also anytime I have an event or holiday or join my sim at work, the tasks bar in the top left corner is non-existent. Anyone else having this issue? I have deleted the caches, repaired the game in EA, and deleted any broken mods. HELPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!Long initial load time and can't connect to gallery
About a month ago, the initial load time to get to the menu took a lot longer than normal. When I got to the menu, it was different because I wasn't connected to the internet. The gallery wouldn't connect. I continued playing this way for about 2 weeks. Then, without changing anything on my computer, it loaded fast and I was connected. I was able to get the first week rewards from the Reaper. 5 days ago it started loading slow with no connection again. I'm able to complete the Reaper events, but can't claim the rewards due to not being connected. I tried turning off anti-virus/firewall, moving Mods folder out, moving The Sims 4 folder out, flushing dns, repairing the game, switching from ethernet to Wifi. Nothing works. Any suggestions?Invisible items
I´m not sure if it is a Technical Issue but.... sinc the last Update i have a lot of Items across all expansion packs that are invisible. For example: I went to the Library in Britechester and i cant see any Bookshelf. In the screenshot i moved with my mous to one bookshelf, not even then i can really see the Item. There is no issue with using the items just a visual issue. No I´m not using all expansion packs. Yes I´m using mods/cc Its a new safe file for the Super Sim Challange. I didnt even start the challange right. Just finished building the house and then when directliy to the library.24Views0likes3Commentsnewest update 'license invalid' WTF

Since I updated the game, I have not been able to save with save and exit or normal save it worked once but now I just get stuck in the screen, I haven't tried it yet but I have seen a work around using save as, I am currently uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if that helps but this has been happening since the September update with grim rewards. I do use mods, and I have been for quite some time, but this has never been an issue. I've checked through my mods folder deleting anything I think might be at fault as well as running scans with mccc and better exceptions, but nothing seems to be fixing this issue I've never had this problem before, and any help will be greatly appreciated.Game crahses on loading since Oct 1 update
I'm experiencing constant crashes whenever I try to play the game. I've already cleared the cache, updated drivers, repaired the game, enabled DirectX 11, restarted my computer, removed all mods, ran it as admin, and repeated these steps multiple times. However, I keep receiving a pop-up that says "unable to start." I've also attached my Dxdiag and a screenshot of the pop-up. I even tried starting as a clean user by removing the Sims 4 folder, but nothing has changed.Grim Reaper event rewards keep resetting
I've now restarted the Grim Reaper event multiple times on my PS5 ... and as much as I enjoy gardening in the Sims, planting lilies and snapdragons over and over again is starting to get a little old. Why this is happening, I have no idea, but every time I save and leave the game, my event progress resets like I haven't done any of the tasks. My physical progress is still there, in that the points still show on the Grim Reaper event UI, I still have the reward items in my inventory, etc., but it's like it doesn't remember how I got there. I've noticed that there's a lot of attention being paid to this issue on PC, and several bug fixes have even been found already. Is anyone working on this from the console end of things?
