Depth Chart Bug - LEDGE4/REDGE4
I have done 3 EDGE playthroughs. Ended as 4 star once, 5 star twice in Heisman. Each time, I chose a school as a projected starter. Every time, I ended as a LEDGE 4, despite being the top EDGE overall and with coach trust higher than the other players. Also, I never got a position battle, so was last on the depth chart the entire freshman season. [Title edit for searchability - CM]Offline progression should not be monetized
The decision to add monetized progression pressure to Road to Glory is one of the most anti-consumer choices EA could have made with this mode. Road to Glory is not Ultimate Team. It is not an online competitive mode. It is not a card-collecting mode built around spending. It is supposed to be a single-player career experience where players create a character, build them through gameplay, and enjoy their own offline story. Taking that kind of mode and designing progression around paid boosts or paywalled advancement completely undermines the entire point of Road to Glory. This feels like EA looked at one of the few remaining places where players could simply enjoy the game they already paid for and decided it still was not enough. Instead of improving depth, presentation, immersion, teammate logic, coaching logic, practice variety, or the actual quality of the career mode experience, the priority appears to be finding a way to squeeze more money out of players who already bought the game. That is what makes this so frustrating. Players have asked for more meaningful single-player features for years. We want better stories, better progression, better customization, better AI, better presentation, and more control over how we play. Instead, we are getting monetization creeping into offline modes. This is not a small issue. This is a clear signal that EA is willing to sacrifice the integrity of single-player modes if there is another dollar to chase. Road to Glory should be balanced around gameplay, player choice, and fun. It should not be balanced around frustration, time-gating, or pushing players toward additional purchases. EA needs to remove monetized progression pressure from Road to Glory and recommit to making this mode a real single-player football career experience, not another revenue funnel.Position Battles Aren’t Working
So I make a 4 Star LEDG play through high school and commit to illinois. Through my entire freshman season even though I was passing other players in Ovr and coach trust it never prompted my position battle. Now in my second year, Still stuck as LEDG4 even though i’m number 1 in coach trust and OVR. Just wasted my first couple hours on this game mode!👎🏾👎🏾Commentator Audio Becomes Extremely Distorted
There is also a significant audio issue during Road to Glory games. The commentators' audio becomes extremely staticky and distorted, making it difficult to understand what they are saying. The problem appears to progressively get worse as the game continues. It is particularly noticeable around second quarter and going into the third quarter, and by the conclusion of the game the commentator audio can become extremely distorted. This seems to be something that develops during the game rather than simply being an audio setting or an issue that is present from the opening kickoff. 2. Game Freezing at the Conclusion and Lost Progression Finally, there is an extremely frustrating issue at the conclusion of games. The game can freeze or become stuck while transitioning from the completed game to the post-game progression screen. When this happens, I do not receive the progression that I earned during the game. This can include progression related to my performance and objectives I completed during the game.Xp sliders where are they?
I won’t be playing this game until they add back xp sliders to RTG Ik people don’t care whatever but they had no reason to take out this fantastic feature for people who don’t want to sit on the game all day just to be an 80 ovr. they are pretending like taking out this feature is going to make player play more it’s going to the opposite when the player finally gets to the ovr they want but guess what you are in your senior year and I can only enjoy being dominant for one season? Where is the fun in that. Just tedious and stressful. Some people are gonna be like “oh don’t want to grind” **bleep** no have you seen how hard it is in 2k to get to a decent ovr without microtranactions. You will sit there for weeks on 2k before you even get a 77 ovr. Please for the love of god ea add back xp sliders **bleep** this gameI wasted 5 hours and on EDGE RTG for 0 playing time
I am now in my 3rd season with an edge with more coach trust/overall rating than other edges yet I still can’t trigger a position battle with lesser edges. I spent thousands of my points on upgrading thinking that was the issue and have nothing to show for it. I got the MVP bundle and I and about to tell people this game and the bundle are not worth it and a waste.RTG exp issue
Earning XP and skill points feels far too slow compared to previous games. Even after putting together great performances, winning awards, and having strong seasons, it takes an extremely long time to improve your player. This makes progression feel unrewarding instead of exciting. Road to Glory is supposed to make you feel like your player is developing throughout their college career, but right now it often feels like your ratings barely change unless you play an unrealistic number of games.Fix draft projection and XP gains.
I should not win the Heisman 3 years in a row and be projected in the 3rd round. My projection should not go down after I break records. This is going to impact my Madden gameplay and will negatively affect the mass opinion of our view in Madden. I should not have record-breaking years 4 years in a row and not be able to afford maxing my player and my physical traits.RTG Patch NEEDED
Well I’ve played RTG all weekend and all I can say is I either need a patch or a refund. Playing as a QB is very frustrating and unrealistic due to both User CUP play and defensive CUP play. Defenses are very tough most of the time but that’s okay, what’s frustrating is my offense not being able to make a play. WAY too many dropped passes! Tight window catches don’t exist. Throwing into 1v1 situations you would expect your receiver to make a play on the ball especially if you turn on aggressive catching in the coaching adjustments, however, coaching adjustments are ineffective in RTG. They very rarely catch the ball in these situations, much less make an attempt, instead the defense either breaks up the pass (pretty realistic and okay with it given the situation), intercepts the pass, completely over/under throws the receiver, or the receiver drops the pass because the defense made contact with the receiver. Additionally, if the receiver has to jump he will rarely ever come down with the pass because the defense made contact with the receiver. Receivers completely lack the ability to gain inside/outside leverage given the route. Many times Ive hot routed a 5 yard in or slant due to incoming blitz and the WR will battle it out 10 yards down the field resulting in me being sacked. Situations like this in previous games I would send my HB on a Texas route or a corner route but the HB’s ability to route run and COD has been nerfed so incredibly their only use in the pass game is either to pass block or run a swing route just to draw another defender out of way. The defensive presence is so incredibly OP on my CUP receivers. The defense knowing what I’m running before I even line up is pretty annoying. Running a play action and the defense lines up in a man blitz and I don’t have the ability to audible, I’m pretty much cooked, I might as well just take a knee. Scoring a TD when getting the ball inside 5 is near impossible. I have way more luck taking a 10yd sack and working with more space due to my receivers being able to gain any separation. Picking a run play the CUP will load the box every single time but given the same situation I will pick a pass play from the same formation and the CUP will play wide. It would be nice to see the defense play based on tendencies rather that based off of my play selection. It’s so obvious that EAs intent this year was to frustrate individuals into making micro-transactions. I get having micro-transactions in online play, but using the 2k model in offline play is very unfair and honestly makes it no longer fun. This is one of the main reasons why I haven’t bought 2k in years, it’s the same garbage just another year. If EA continues down this slippery slope I won’t be buying in the future. However, EA can still right their wrong, everyone is saying bring back XP sliders. I’m not all that worried about XP sliders, I enjoy the grind of upgrading my player, I just want better CUP play, nevertheless, give the consumers what they want.. Please make a RTG patch EA.No position battles?
I am playing the game and started as a 3-star LEDG in highschool and then became a 4-star. Chose msu because of nil and playing time. However, even as i was accumulating coach trust the game never prompted me for a single position battle even though I now have more coach trust and higher overall than every single player on my team at the same position. I am on my second season and am still LEDG4, literally what is going on?! I'm playing the trial and have wasted the past 4 hours not even being able to play the game.Unanswered reports
Seems like all of our RTG concerns are falling on deaf ears. There is also this forum to report these bugs and glitches. Accelerate the skill point progression system a bit, no way that an award winning player is the same overall in year 2 as he was in year 1. Don't put too much grind into this mode. RTG is about the lights and shining bright. Madden is for the extensive grind. CFB is for FUN.RTG STILL BUGGED
Ever since August title update RTG is still bugged with no fix. Audio gets choppy and distorted in 3rd quarter then when trying to return to hub, red and black flag shows continuously. This has been reported multiple times with no fix. Cannot progress RTG at all PS5 Doesn’t matter what position Doesn’t matter if it’s a new RTG or loading a saveDraft Projection and Legacy Score
I do thing each year with cfb and madden where I see if it is possible to go #1 overall in the draft. So I lower sliders and make it is easy as possible to get crazy stats and awards. In 2 years I have a legacy score of about 66,000. In those two seasons I have over 20k pass yards, 270 tds, to only 4 ints. Along with 71% completion percentage and 2100 rush yards. I have 2 heismans and 2 nattys. I’m going to do it for a third year and then go to the NFL. How am I a projected early 3rd round pick. The draft projection just goes down every game no matter how good you play. It does this with every position. I had a game with 1k pass yards and 14 tds but it still went down. It’s player a of the week after player of the week. Maybe playing at SDSU has something to do with it, but it shouldn’t.
