EA Sports WRC - Low GPU usage
5800X3D and RTX 5080 here, playing at 4K. No problems with any other games, GPU usage between 95-100% in all games. But in EA Sports WRC, GPU usage is between 60 and 70% when gaming (no matter if DLSS is used or not), only reach 100% GPU usage when the game is paused? WTF! Fix your game.SolvedEluryhX5 months agoSeasoned Novice289Views0likes8CommentsThe night is red
I just started playing the game again after a few months of not playing it and I noticed some stages that are at night turn red: I've checked all my settings, but nothing fixes it. The post-processing quality has a bit of an impact, but the red never fully goes away. Does anyone know how to fix this?SolvedToesichan5 months agoSeasoned Newcomer50Views1like3CommentsCSL DD and pentals fanatec and MOZA USB stop working n version v.2.2.1 PC

Hello all, from 28th of August, my game suddenly stopped launching. I played it almost every day for a small amount of time, as well on 27th of August. I have over 200 hours played, and game was working fine even after releasing 1.9.0 patch. But form day to day, it stopped launching. I'm using Steam, pressing Play, EA Splash Screen pops up, loading, and after that nothing happens, game is not starting. I can only see an error in the Windows Event: EAAntiCheatService Failed to obtain Origin directory. From day to day, when nothing changed, no driver updates, no game updates, no Windows updates, nothing changed in my configuration, it decided to stop working. For two day I tried contact with EA support with creating the case and talking with different people in chat, but they finally directed me to this forum. We tried many things they could find in the Internet (!), but it didn't help at all. But, as far I can understand, EA Anticheat is coded by EA, so if my application has coded in an error output (preety straightforward) Failed to obtain Origin directory I should know what I meant by that. But it appears I must looking help everywhere, but not in the source. Can anyone help me with this exact error? I don't want to shooting ducks. I would like have this exaxt error explanation. What have Origin path to do with Steam app? Why it needs it now, if never before nedded it? It wasn't on my PC before. Is Origin app even still alive? Who wrote this EA Anticheat app? If anyone could help, I would be grateful.Solved2KViews3likes5Comments1.9.0 - Moments screen empty and unusable after completion
Product: EA SPORTS™ WRC Platform:Steam-PC Summarize your bug After completing a Moment and returning to selection screen there are no moments shown and navigation controls not functional. How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? This has happened twice after 1.9.0 starting from a state of all Moments having achieve Gold medal. 1. Open Moments 2. Filter by medal "none" 3. Choose the only new moment available 4. Complete the Moment and choose "continue" to return back to the main moment selection screen 5. No moments showing and controls not functional What happens when the bug occurs? See above.. the Moment screen shows nothing and no controls are functional What do you expect to see? I expect the game to return to the Moments screen and show all Moments with their completion medals. I have completed all Moments to Gold level. I received patch 1.9.0 and when launched the game, there was 1 new moment available. I proceeded to complete that Moment and the issue as described above occurs. Today, the 2nd day after patch 1.9.0 there should be another new moment and there is, so i complete that one in the same manner described above and the issue occurs again. I think what is happening is the Moments screen is trying to remember previous filtered list of Moments and as there are now no Moments which have a medal status of "none" it is showing an empty Moments screen (presumably still trying to show a filtered list). No idea why controls are not working. Attached screenshot shows what it looks like after returning back after completing a Moment.Solvedmce0762 years agoNew Scout719Views2likes4CommentsIssue with EA SPORTS™ WRC Game Crashing on Start-Up
Dear Madam/Sir, I recently purchased EA SPORTS™ WRC during the summer sale on Steam, eager to participate in a potential future Rally Esports challenge. Unfortunately, the game crashes on start-up, preventing me from even reaching the main menu. I have noticed that many others have faced this issue since the game's release in November 2023. It is quite frustrating that this problem persists even in July 2024. Or maybe my PC is at fault? Could you please provide any information on whether there will be a fix for this issue soon? Additionally, I would like to know if the game will be delivered annually or if it will evolve into a model similar to CS2 or Dota 2, with continuous updates instead of annual sales. Given that I am currently unable to play the game, I am uncertain about the refund process. If there is a positive response regarding continuous updates rather than annual sales, I would prefer to keep the game hoping that this start-up crash will be fixed in the future. Otherwise, I will have to request a refund. I also read some reviews claiming that you added Kernel Anti-Cheat. Upon checking my Event Viewer, I saw 4 Critical Kernel-Power events and 4 Critical AppModel-Runtime events. Is your Anti-Cheat not working properly and crashing my computer? As soon as I see the intro video, my computer screen turns black, and the speed of all fans increases to the maximum. I could not even access task manager with Ctrl + Alt + Del. I only heard sound and could not give any input to my computer. In order to stop this, I have to press the power button and then restart the computer immediately to give all the hardware components time to cool down. This Kernel issue also happened with other games on release, such as CS2, for example (I checked Event Viewer at that time as well). Now, some months later, the CS2 game does not crash due to these errors as they do not happen anymore. CS2 also behaved in the same way with a black screen and other issues similar to your game. I also tried to write the same messages above in the EA WRC Forum. My content was marked as spam for no reason. I wanted to edit a word in my text and then it immediately got marked as spam. Or did someone report my post? This is my second message. Additionally, the link from EA is incorrect. They ask, "If you believe it is an error please report the abuse regarding the spam," and I am being sent to "Tell us why this content is inappropriate." Please help me. Product: EA SPORTS™ WRC Platform:Steam-PC Summarize your bug Every time I approach a particular section of road from either direction (I've attached a picture below, its approximately the red section which appears on Waiwera, Tahekeroa, Noakes Hill and Orewa in Oceania) the game crashes to desktop with no error message or events in windows logs. How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Drive one of these stages. I first found it on Waiwara, exactly 7.8 Km in according to simhub. In the previous CER version of this, people could sense a hiccup even if they didn't get a crash What happens when the bug occurs? The game stutters hard once, then crashes. My wheel locks up and needs to be restarted, and I get no error messages or windows logs errors or events What do you expect to see? No crashes This feels exactly like an issue I had previously with a particular corner in CER. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Game-crashes-with-UE-error-at-same-spot-in-stage/m-p/13495016/highlight/true#M3963 I solved this by turning off FSR, but in this case I'm not using FSR and turning off upscaling entirety also didn't solve it. The CER issue displayed a UE error message but otherwise was the same. I am fairly certain this is a new bug that came with new patch, as I've driven these stages before 1.7 with no trouble. I won't be able to test until later but I believe forcing directx 11 will stop the crash, but severely degrade performance (this worked on the CER errors last time, if I remember correctly)Solvedthewrathofwhat2 years agoRising Rookie806Views0likes3CommentsHuge FPS drop since anticheat update
Product: EA SPORTS™ WRC Platform:Steam-PC Summarize your bug After recent anticheat update FPS dropped from 100 to 30-40 and now game is unplayable, especially when lights are being used in a darker stage. How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the game after new update wit headlights on. What happens when the bug occurs? Stuttering and laging What do you expect to see? Smooth running game like before. It seems that with every update I get a small fps drop but this time it's massive FPS drop at level where game is no longer playable due to stuttering. After each update I was getting 5-10fps drop, but I was just lowering the graphics to compensate and wasn't so noticable when I started with 140fps at the beggining, after several updates it went down to ~100 but now after the latest update it went down to 30-40 fps.
