Origin in game, says it must be turned on? Still not working.
I have turned Origin in Game on, Shift F1 won't open it, going to the suit kiosk or bench tells me it needs to be turned on. Sofar I have: (done for both game and Origin) 1) Toggled it on / off with restarts. 2) Opened recommended ports in my router. 3) Allowed exception in my firewall. 4) Attempted repair of game. (No issues found) 5) Added exception in AV. Oddly it worked fine before I had anything to use it for in the game. Been playing it co-op with a buddy of mine, his is working just fine. WTF? Christ if my buddy didn't want to play this so bad co-op I'd never have gotten it. Hate this crap from EA. FOR PC VERSION My NAT type is set to strict, and it's my understanding that I need to forward the ports to change it to open. Problem is, I have no idea what the ports for it are and Google is of no help. Dead Space 3 (PC) Failed To Join Game Error
Hi, I wanted to play co-op with a friend, but when I invite him to my game, I can see him and he joins as a client, but after a while he disappears and the error message "Failed to join game" appears for him. I know it's 2023, so I want to ask if co-op still works on PC. I tried many solutions from internet like change resolution, on/off vsync, windowed/fullscreen, turning off firewall in pc and in modem/router etc... Dead Space 3 (PC) Incompatible with Most Resolutions
Dead Space 3 has some serious issues with resolution support on my PC. If the resolution is set to any setting other than a "wide" setting (not widescreen, but the ones marked as "wide"), the game's interface elements, such as the cursor, dialog pop-ups, the player's health, stasis, oxygen, ammo, etc., along with all in-game holographic panels, will disappear and cease to function. Effectively, the game is ruined by this glitch, because even basic HUD data is impossible to see, and menus are not navigable. I had to use the Task Manager to close the game, because even the "Are you sure you want to quit?" dialog won't appear. I have already verified my computer's compatibility with the game's requirements, changed my graphics settings at least five or more times to varying combinations of different render settings, restarted the game, restarted the computer, updated my video card drivers, reinstalled my video card drivers, tested using two different displays, and even reinstalled the game itself. There is really no further troubleshooting I can think to do. This needs to be addressed, and quickly. I've learned from some searching that I'm not the only one with this issue. Does anybody know of a fix? I need to find a solution soon or I will be forced to return a game I'd really rather be playing.Solved44KViews1like14Comments
[Old Report] DEAD SPACE 2 RELEASE DATE CHECK LAUNCH FAILURE
Yesterday I've just Installed Dead Space 2 on my Windows 8 pc. Everything install perfectly but when It goes to the relase date check, says that it cannot connect to verify and I can't play. I had the game installed in Windows 7 and it ran perfectly. I have tried disabling the Windows Firewall and the anti-virus; and even running Windows on secure mode as you say here: https://help.ea.com/article/RN5240 . I do not know what else I can do, my PC has more than the recommended requirements. After Isaac gets off of the elevator and receives the laser cutter, in level 1, he cannot go through the doorway that says above it, Tram ID card needed. I've tried easy mode & medium mode still does not work. I've tried doing in game repairs and that didn't help. I'm stuck please assist me in repairing this issue. I just installed the game from Origin it was free so I can't re-install the game I don't have the game code. I have posted this a few times but to no avail.. I have windows 7 i5 3210m gtx 670m 4Gig Ram Dead space has not been able to launch from origin since i bought it on release. I know you have thought the solution was to remove any peripheral devices such as controllers etc but i dont even have any connected; i have a wireless reciever which i use for xbox 360 wireless controller but i havent had it plugged in. Everytime i try to launch the game from Origin it will start to launch with the black screen then crash to desktop with the message " Dead Space 3 has stopped working" All i want to do is play the game i payed good money for. Is it possible in the future to maybe release an update that allows for ofline co-op for dead space 3? When my friend bought this game and told me about the co-op mode I was excited and ready to go. But when we started to play co-op we found out it was only for online players. I was disappointed in this and thought maybe it would be the best interest if the game makers could make a change and enable split screen co-op? So yeah, like the topic says. Me and my friend bought this game recently with the specific intent of playing it through coop-style. Thinking that Dead Space franchise has so far been a quality product overall, I was hoping all would go smoothly. No such luck. When trying to join each other's games (both of us tried to host), the game gives "Failed to join game". I've tried searching for help on this, but so far I've seen no confirmed-working solutions for this. Suggestions range from "disable your anti-virus" to "forward ports xxx, yyy, zzz" etc. We tried lots of different combinations of these suggestions, but to no avail. Both of us have the same issue. We're playing on PC, with a standard ADSL connection. I've played a number of different online games, and not faced this issue yet. This day and age, I'd expect these types of connection issues to be thing of the past. Quite frankly, I feel totally ripped off. Like I said, I invested my money on your product to play with my friend, but now that seems to be money wasted. If one of the key selling points of the game was the new co-op mode, I'd expect it to work! Is there any official workaround/fix for this issue? Is there any confirmed solution? I'd be so happy to have an answer for this. Thanks for any reply. ---- A week has passed and no replies... ☹️ Well, I guess I had my hopes too high. Some additional details: I switched my broadband modem to bridged mode, hoping that would solve the issue, seeing as some of the semi-official answers here have pointed that forwarding ports might help. Unfortunately, this didn't help either. I'm starting to believe that this problem is unsolvable. I can't overstate how dissappointed I am. [Old Report] Dead Space 2 will crash on launch with more than 10 processors
Dead Space 2 will crash on launch with anything more than 10 cores. It's fine with 10 cores or less. High-end gaming systems these days have LGA2011v3 six-core CPUs with hyperthreading, which means 12 processors in Windows, and so the only way to play Dead Space 2 is to either disable hyperthreading in the BIOS or use MSCONFIG and click on the Boot tab, "Advanced Options..." and set the "Number of processors" to 10 or less and rebooting (which of course means decreasing CPU performance for applications that can use those processors). I've submitted a bug report to EA, but the automated response I got indicates they prioritize fixes based on what customers are bringing to their attention, so please write to EA and let them know you'd like this fixed so they devote some resources to this bug.Solved37KViews5likes50CommentsControlling the Mic in Dead Space 3 Co-Op
Currently trying to find a way to control the Voice Chat feature in Co-Op. I understand and verified with EA Support that no in game options are available to do this. I have been advised by EA that there is probably a setting somewhere in the ini files that can manipulate this feature. While I am digging for something such as that I figured I would ask Answer HQ to see if anyone else figured this out. So the ultimate question is: Does anyone know how to control; turn on or off or just make Push to Talk and not 100% Passive the Voice Chat in Co-Op? Dead Space 3 Co op problem
Alright, I've noticed that this has been a problem for just about everyone recently. But when I try to invite a friend to my game in Dead Space 3, it tells me that Origin In-Game isn't turned on when it very wll is. I've seen a few people that have managed to fix, including one on the Answer HQ itself, but it didn't fix my problem or seemingly many others. I was wondering if there was some sort of fix that I haven't found or if Origin will fix the problem. I got the game in the Humble Bundle so it's not THAT big of a deal considering I got like 10 games for 5$ including Dead Space 3. It just bothers me that I can't play with my friends. I got the game, but my Windows is in spanish because I'm from Costa Rica, but I SERIOUSLY HATE the translated game, the voice acting is just terrible... I got everything in english, the Origin Client, the other games... etc... How come the game never asked me for what language I wanted? and why it doesn't have an internal option for language switch? I really want my game in english, I refuse to play it in spanish... i bought this game had to wait hours for it to install and during this time orgin crashed about 10 times.i finaly get it installd and i cant even play it. after clickin on deadspace 3 and pressing any key im stuck with a please wait scanning for downloadable content screen..all i can do is hit alt and F4 to force a shut down or ctrl,alt and del. i have seen a few threads on here relating to this problem but i have tryde everything mentiond allready. just to clarify. deadspace 3 and origin are installd on the same drive. my OS is installd on another. i have tryd repairing the install,running origin in beta mode, runing origin as an administrator and turning my anti virus software off and i am still stuck with this problem.. please assistSolved31KViews0likes84Comments[Old Report] PC BUG REPORT: Cannot spend Ration Seals.
Let me explain what happened from start to finish. I accessed the DLC menu for the first time at a workbench. I was checking it out and scrolling through the different menu's. I found the page where you spend ration seals. There was only 1 option for some kind of elite package that required 30 rations. I only had 27, so obviously I didn't have enough so I closed the menu and kept playing the game. I find another workbench, after I finally get 30 ration seals. Here's the bug: The ration seal option is simply gone now. I cannot spend my 31 rations as the option itself simply isn't there in the DLC menu at any workbench I've accessed in the game. I've tried 4 or 5 different workbench and none of them allow me to spend my 31 ration seals because the option is no longer available. It's simply gone from the menu's and it only has real-money options (Which I do not support and will never spend real money on, F.Y.i). -Edit- 60% game completed now, 90+ Ration Seals and I still cannot spend them.
