Back in 2013 I bought DS2 Collectors Edition. EA Library shows that I own the Standard Edition, no matter how often I input the Collectors Edition key. Worse, whenever I try to install it from the EA app, it tells me that I don't own the game. Yet, it is in my Library. It tells me to go Game Hub and get it from there as I removed it from my Library a few years ago. Nothing I do convinces the app that I own the game, even though it appears in my Library and says Standard Edition owned. Dead Space Remake does not launch – EA App restarts
HI! Dead Space Remake does not launch on my PC. When I click Play, deadspace.exe starts briefly and then closes immediately, sending me back to the EA App. I have already tried: EA App / Game environment: - Reinstalled EA App after manually deleting AppData and ProgramData - Fully reinstalled Dead Space Remake - Cleared EA App cache, ran App Recovery - Used the "Repair" option on the game - Tested with two different EA accounts - Tried launching in EA App offline mode Windows / System settings: - Latest NVIDIA driver installed for RTX 5070 - BIOS tested with dGPU-only mode - Secure Boot enabled - Windows Defender fully disabled - Controlled Folder Access / Ransomware Protection not enabled - Compatibility mode removed from deadspace.exe External software / conflicts: - Disabled all overlays (Discord, GeForce Experience, MSI Afterburner, etc.) - Uninstalled NordVPN completely (including kernel drivers) - No other network filters present Diagnostics: - DxDiag confirms DirectX 12.2 support - Event Viewer shows no application crash entries - Crash dump collection enabled, but no dump is created Using Process Monitor I traced the startup. Every time the game attempts to load: D:\Játékok\Dead Space (2023)\Core\Activation64.dll → FILE LOCKED WITH ONLY READERS After this, deadspace.exe exits with no error message. This shows the problem is with the DRM module (Activation64.dll) failing to initialize or being blocked incorrectly. Attachment provided: DxDiag.txt Complete Procmon logfile showing the Activation64.dll lock Please review and provide a fix or replacement for the DRM/activation module, because this issue is reproducible across clean installs and different accounts. Thank you.martonroli1234562 months agoSeasoned Newcomer69Views0likes1CommentGame breaking bug
I started playing Dead Space remake on Xbox series X. At around chapter 11 after collecting all weapon upgrades and completely filling in all power node slots for all weapons I went to the shop to change weapons. That's when I found out I couldn't. I only had the option to save my weapons in my inventory. I thought oh well I'll play thru till new game+ and that will fix my issue. Upon playing new game plus when I got to the first store I was excited to get all my weapons back and the bug to be gone, WRONG! THE BUG STILL EXISTED. NOT ONLY THAT BUT I BOUGHT THE UNIQUE 99K SUIT IMMEDIATELY AND SOUPED IT UP TO THE MAX. Then I tried the workarounds for the bug again, non of which worked when I originally discovered it in chapter 11 but who knows it could have happened in chapter 8 that's around the last time I switched my weapon loadout. So I switched from the unique suit back to the lvl suit. After switching to the lvl one suit with no avail trying to get my weapons equipped and out of my inventory. I decided to put back on the New game Plus Suit.... It HAD DISAPPEARED FROM MY INVENTORY. EA really needs to get their act together. Now I'm going to have to reload a pre new game plus save (I saved one time every chapter) and find out when the bug occured and replay the game thru there, possibly reacquiring all the weapons upgrades as well because I was missing some up until chapter 11. This frustrates the living hell out of me. I've tried every possible known fix and NONE worked. So now I'm basically just going to give up, it's not worth my time and effort to go back and find the 6 or 7 weapons upgrades I was missing if indeed the bug occured before chapter 11 and playthrough till the end again. EA you just lost a customer for life!!!?38Views0likes0CommentsDeadspace 2008 /Deadspace Remaster issues
I bought both games from steam and I cant get the original 2008 deadspace to run properly. crash at startup, audio loop when I select difficulty to beging the game it freezes and makes that audio loop. I played (deadspace2008) game other night after setting windows98/me in properties of exe file. got to the end of chapter 1 and the game crashed when trying to save it. also the Remaster is not smooth gameplay, I got so frustrated with the first original one I decided to go buy the remaster to see if they fixed all the issues. I am getting lag and stuttering and micro-stutters. just for the remaster version. All other games I own on my pc I play run fine. Since EA has made it nearly impossible to get through to their support staff and the fact that I have requested this numerous times, perhaps someone on here can direct me to EA Staff or moderators that may be able to help with my request. I have spent countless hours troubleshooting with EA Support Staff over the past couple of years trying to get my copy of DEAD SPACE 2 in my EA App library on PC to install with absolutely no success. I have asked/requested many times for EA Support Staff to permanently remove the game from my EA App library, as I cannot get it to install and run. I cannot even repurchase the game as it is listed as owned in my library, but as it stands its pointless having the game there if it won't install. Each time I have been told by EA Support Staff that they have escalated my request to their appropriate team to follow up and remove my game and each time they fail to do anything about it. So if someone from EA Support or a moderator could possibly forward my request to someone who might actually be able to fulfill this request it would be greatly appreciated.jk2outcast2 months agoSeasoned Novice99Views0likes2CommentsDead Space 2 - is there any achıvement on the game?
I started Dead Space 2 on Steam, but I noticed that there were no achievements, so I looked on EA Games and my game was not visible there. Even though I entered the CD key, it did not accept it. In short, I want to know if there are Dead Space 2 achievements. Unfortunately, I cannot look at them on EA. I would appreciate it if you could help me.Vincock583 months agoRising Newcomer42Views0likes0CommentsDead space 2 cd key activation limit exceeded

I mean that’s pretty much it. Since the game came out I’ve been plagued with the game spontaneously closing and losing progress. In terms of impossible I was making good headway, got to the centrifuge, started working on it and boom, bye bye. Have fun starting over. I have genuinely no clue what i’m supposed to do about this.41Views0likes0CommentsI can't properly launch Dead Space 3. The game won't start
I can't properly launch Dead Space 3. The game won't start, and an error message appears. This message "A problem on our end caused the launch to fail. Please try again later." I was able to play Dead Space 3 before, but recently it won’t start. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps provided by EA customer support, but the problem still persists. Please advise me on how to resolve this issue, as I purchased a game that may become unplayable at any moment. I have three EA games that I can’t play, including Star Wars Battlefront II, Mirror’s Edge, and Dead Space 3. None of them are working. I paid for these games, but now I can't play them, and the issues still haven't been resolved. Should I be asking for a refund? I bought the game through Steam.zxca2003a3 months agoRising Newcomer72Views0likes1CommentIf Ea does ever decide to Remaster Dead Space 2&3...........
If Ea ever does finally decide to remaster Dead space 3, using the remastered Version Of Dead Space 3 and as well as Mass Effect Legendary Edition, to remaster both 2&3. Well, I have been noticing Subtle Differences and similarities between Dead Space Remastered and Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and well, the suits kind of look similar,as EA started using Dead Space to help build Mass Effect 2 and 3, as well as also having a contract with Capcom to produce Lost Planet 3. Also changing the co-op options missions to be playable as solo or co-op as optional but I rather see it solo so you can actually complete the game to 100% , as well as having ALL DLCS just like Dead Space Remastered and the Master Skeleton Key Master Security Clearance to get the most out of gathering resources and components as well as Inventory Expansions . I am an Xbox Insider Alpha Skip Ahead and just started playing the game after a month, first originally playing on Game Pass and then continuing. There are some Major game-breaking bugs that need to be addressed, as in the Prologue where it says shoot weapon, and well, if you take that literally and then try to shoot at the manual release cover,it will not break and fails to break. I guess this was a developer's oversight at the time, and many more bugs like this the throughout the game. I also suggest increasing the Bot Capacity considerably to gather a Metric **bleep**-tonne of resources at once as well as having the original SCAF BULLPUP RIFLE and SUIT and other currently unplayable items and also cut content re-added to the remaster as well as all promotional and EA/BIOWARE exclusives you could unlock by logging in with you EA account just like Mass Effect and KOA (Kingdoms Of Amalur ) and Dragon Age once Did. I also heard rumours over the year of a variant of the Blood Dragon Armor from Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 and other Mass Effect variants were unlockable. The Heavy Elite Sharpshooter SMP-90 IS A great rifle, but does not pack enough punch and oomph unlike the Widow and Black Widow do in Mass Effect 3and all weapons in the remastered would be tweaked and refined to do mo damage like Dead Space One Remaster and so on a long with the suits would have bonuses applied just like Mass Effect 3. Going back to Mass Effect 3 original, Dead Space 3 weapons were clearly variants of the weapons of Mass Effect 3 ,while the Evangelizer was almost a fictional variant of the M-14 carbine polymer with an underbarrel Masterkey (underbarrel Shotgun)instead of m-203 launcher , I kind of wish it was full autoas well as the Pulse Rifle and all other weapons including the revolver added to the remaster of dead space 3 and Maybe some 1979 Alien weapons as well as the pulse rifle and halberd from Lost planet 3 made into some weapons that are heavy hitters and can dispatch multiple enemies at once and references and easter eggs. The game takes heavy inspiration from the original Tombraider game as well28Views0likes0Commentsinsanely buggy

The Pulse Rifle has been widely reported to be quite poor in the Dead Space remake and it turns out it's due to a bug related to how its damage is applied. According to this Reddit Post which quotes this Korean forum post, the Pulse Rifle's issue is that enemies apparently have a 0.2s invulnerability window upon getting hit. This results in the Pulse Rifle wasting huge amounts of ammo and DPS when fired full auto, particularly with the rate of fire upgrade. There are even comparison videos comparing automatic fire and an autoclicker which tap fires at 0.2s intervals. With the autoclicker the DPS is noticeably better. I can also verify from personal experience that removing the rate of fire upgrade made the weapon much better for me. I'm aware the game hasn't been updated in a while but it would be nice if the rate of fire was adjusted to at least max out at one shot every 0.2s and the damage numbers tweaked accordingly, assuming the core bug is too difficult to fix (even though it also effects the Plasma Cutter apparently although much harder to achieve due to the nature of the weapon). It's also important to note this bug in case of any future installments based on the same engine as high rate of fire weapons are also present in the sequels (especially Dead Space 3), or maybe even other Frostbite Engine titles. Hope this post proves useful to someone.75Views0likes0CommentsThe Possibility of a Dead Space 2 Remake
I'd like to share my opinion on EA’s handling of the Dead Space franchise. We already know what happened with Visceral Games, and also much of what the company expected from the title itself. I’d say the president at the time was somewhat misguided when it came to survival horror games. This obsession with sales numbers has never really sat well with me, even for the most well-known titles like Resident Evil 4, whose sales figures aren't that impressive when compared to a multiplayer war FPS like Battlefield or Call of Duty. If there’s one thing the Dead Space franchise has, it’s critical acclaim. I think that alone was enough to solidify it as a cult classic in the genre. It made its impact, made noise, and still teaches lessons in several aspects of the genre, with a unique identity. But beyond that, we need to understand that certain strategies just shouldn’t be expected from a game like this—especially when a company tries to aim for something almost impossible within the genre, except in very specific cases. That said, a Dead Space 2 remake would be more than welcome. Not just because of the reimagining with modern visuals, but because of the potential it carries—particularly in terms of atmosphere, narrative construction, and world-building. Yes, a Dead Space 2 remake could be the foundation for a fully explorable version of the Sprawl, which was already a massive setting, even though it was linear in the original. What makes me think about this is the sheer size of the Sprawl and how many side missions could be created to deepen the lore of the outbreak and its characters—just as the Ishimura was given more freedom with its interconnected design. That same logic makes me believe the scale could be far greater, adding new bosses and enemy types, as well as expanding on hallucination sequences and improving existing boss fights like the Stalker. Just imagine that interconnected world like the Ishimura, now expanded into a semi-open world that gradually unlocks, giving you the choice to revisit areas as access codes are found. That alone would elevate the atmosphere to an unprecedented scale. So a Dead Space 2 remake project could very well become one of the most ambitious survival horror remakes in history. And of course, with that level of change, creation, and design, it would take quite a long time to develop. I can’t imagine EA greenlighting it and expecting a quick release. It would likely be something aimed for the next generation of consoles, precisely due to its potential. Let’s not forget that Visceral created the original sequel in just three years after the first game. The difference today is that to make a truly great game, development would have to be on a much bigger scale. I also think that, if possible, EA should think about a very smart and strategic marketing plan, especially in times when the game could benefit from a proper hype cycle. It’s easy to see that the marketing strategy for the 2023 Dead Space remake wasn’t the most favorable—mainly due to competing titles. Still, it was a critically acclaimed remake. I’d also love to see them invest in natural lighting techniques, avoiding overreliance on ray tracing, while giving proper focus to optimization. But anyway, this is just a fan’s wish!207Views0likes0Comments
