Potential fix for your (PC) controller not working in Dead Space (2023)/Remake
I have a Keychron K2 HE keyboard that causes problems in a handful of games (Dead Space (2023)/Remake and Sekiro are the ones that I know of so far), where this keyboard is recognised as the primary gaming controller and renders my Xbox wireless controller completely unusable in these games. No input from my Xbox controller registers in these games whatsoever - with or without Steam Input enabled - unless I unplug the keyboard, which is far from ideal, so I wanted a better solution. After a lot of research, I found the best solution for me was to use "HID hide" (https://github.com/nefarius/HidHide) to hide my Keychron Keyboard from the affected games. It was very simple to implement the fix, and here are the steps required: -Download HID Hide -Install it and reboot when prompted -After the reboot, open the newly-installed "HID Hide Configuration Client" -Go to the "Devices" tab and find your Keychron K2 HE (or similar device causing the issue) -Click on the device and tick the "Enable device hiding" box -Unplug the device and replug the device -Load your game and test it If your problem was caused by the same issue mine was, this will work. If it doesn't work, your problem may be caused by something else. Thanks to "nefarius" for creating and sharing "HID Hide"! Additional info: "HID Hide" runs as a Windows service in the background, and, upon installation, is set to start automatically, so after you have configured it, you don't have to revisit it unless you change devices or reinstall Windows. I think the reason the Keychron K2 HE is recognised by Windows 11 as a gaming controller is because it can be confirgured as a "controller" in the keyboard's management software. It's a pretty unique feature which I'd never come across before and therefore never experienced loss of controller functionality due to this specific issue.
Dead Space Deluxe Edition Upgrade
Hello, As a long-time customer, I feel somewhat cheated by EA. Specifically, when you want to buy Dead Space during a sale, you pay €9 for the base game and €10.50 for the Deluxe Edition. I received the standard version as a gift a year ago and would like to have the content of the Deluxe Edition, but if I want to buy it during a sale, I have to pay €10 because it's not discounted. I find it disgusting that new customers are given so much preferential treatment.
Reroute power from Electrical systems bug
Hello, I’m stuck on the reroute power electrical systems objective in chapter 4. The big boss was stuck in the electricity, and I believe it was supposed to have knocked the walls down. Now I can’t get through without dying…therefore I can’t complete the main quest. I saved right before this, and that’s my only save, so I cant start from a previous save. PS5 digital deluxe version.
PS5 Controller not working with Dead Space through the EA APP on PC windows 11
Every other game works through this launcher except dead space. It just does not recognize the PS5 controller at all. If i turn off DS4 then it just doesnt read it at all one bit. If DS4 is on, the buttons work somewhat but are way off in general. Any fix? I dont have the game on steam.
Dead space 2 activation code limit reached
I know there's a forum post already set-up for this but I haven't gotten any help from submitting tickets. I purchased it in 2018 and would like to play the game I paid for. If there's a specific ticket for just dead space 2 or a specific channel I haven't been down id like to know about it. Any help would be awesome. Thank you.
BUG Can Not Open Doors - Can Not Play The Game !!!!!!
When did the Bug occur? - started Dead Space 3 and loaded my checkpoint (chapter 3 / tunnel with dogs) - now i can´t open the doors - reloading the hole chapter 3 - can´t open the door at the space ship and can´t go inside What did you do before you experienced the Bug (please be as detailed as possible)? - played Dead Space 3 first time - leaved the game at chapter 3 System - PC - Version: German / Retail ... I can open the doors at the lower checkpoints, but there´s no way to get into chapter 3
Dead Space 2 Remake
So EA decided to say no to a Dead Space 2 remake because the Dead Space 1 remake didn’t sell as well as they wanted. What irritates me is Dead Space 1 remake didn’t sell as well as it should have because EA barely marketed the game. A lot of people didn’t even know it was being made or even came out. Had EA actually put some effort into marketing it and caring about it, I guarantee it would have sold much better. There is still a huge market for Dead Space. If there wasn’t, then games like Resident Evil wouldn’t sell as well as they do. And Dead Space 1 remake continues to sell as we speak because people are buying it used, downloading it, etc. EA isn’t tracking it anymore, so to them, no one is playing it. I don’t understand having control over a beloved IP and caring so little about it. Dead Space 2 is great, but it absolutely could use the remake treatment. If for no other reason, than to help the game live on and be able to be played for a long time to come on newer systems. And now that Dead Space 1 remake has been out for a few years and has been played, a Dead Space 2 remake would sell much better because people are actually aware of its existance. EA is their own worst enemy, I swear. They’ll never be a good company. The only hope is the recent management changes and Glenn Scholfield trying to talk to them about doing another Dead Space. Just makes me sick when companies forget about or barely do anything with good IPs, like Sony with Bloodborne. I get that the gaming industry is a business but you’ve got to have some connection to gaming; to your consumers. You’re leaving money on the table, EA. Do better.
Dead Space Remake items falling through floor
I am constantly having an issue with items simply falling through the floor when you open up a locker or stamp on a box. The enemies are also appearing glitched with just random body parts floating in front of you! I have tried many suggestions such as removing v sync and changing frame rate but nothing seems to work.
Dead Space remake: Lack of PC support and fixes, no Dualsense support
I originally played Dead Space remake at my friend's on his PS5 without a single issue, and now bought it on PC and stuck with a game-breaking bug that prevents Chapter 10 from ever starting. That’s it — I’m just done? I’m supposed to accept that I can’t finish the game when I’m literally right next to the ending? People keep suggesting “just reload a save from before Chapter 9 and replay it,” but unless you somehow kept an older save from Chapter 8, how were you supposed to know this glitch even exists? No regular player is going to predict something like this until it happens — and by then it’s already too late to fix without replaying hours of content. It’s unbelievable that a full-price game can simply refuse to let you finish it. And what makes it even more frustrating is that EA clearly doesn’t care about the legacy of their own games. This issue has been known for three years and still hasn’t been touched. They also still haven’t added DualSense support on PC, something that should’ve been included from day one (but u did it for more popular ones like BF6). Fans buy these controllers expecting to get the full feature set on PC — only to find out that NONE of it works in this game. Even a regular controller rumble doesn't work with Dualsense on PC! Just wow. But the lack of care doesn’t stop at their games — it extends to us, the customers who actually buy them. Where Is Shader Cache Stored?
Does this game cache stuff to storage for better gameplay like what does building shaders do? I've just installed a Samsung 250GB Evo 970 Pro NMVe drive I was going or plan to use it for Windows, but I wanted to see if this game would run better but it runs worse for some reason I know I know my RX580 8GB isn't supported but I did get it working using FSR 2.0 performance mode
A serious bug! A critical item is missing!
The infected are displaying incorrectly, causing them to become invisible, and most are unable to attack the protagonist. Also, dropped items disappear instantly when the interact button is pressed. I tolerated these bugs until I reached Chapter 10. Suddenly, a crucial item for advancing the main quest also disappeared!!! I need batteries to open doors, but I can't find any batteries in their locations!!! (The bugs of missing infected and dropped items continuing to occur) I searched for related issues and discovered that this bug has existed for several years and hasn't been fixed! And I'm using an SSD, yet I still encountered this problem. Reloading save files and restarting the game didn't work; these problems reappear after a while. I also tried verifying file integrity on Steam, but that didn't work either. Recreating all game files or reinstalling the game (shaders, saves, etc.) didn't work either, or the problems still reappear later. Reinstalling Windows and hardware drivers didn't work either!!! It's clearly a problem with the game's scripts!!! I am extremely angry because I paid for the game, but it's riddled with serious bugs and unplayable. The game is now just a spacewalk observation video. EA, I implore you to fix this problem and give us players a belated response, as this issue has existed for several years.
