Worst start
Sitting out here on deployment looking to see what is new in the game.. if you've been in the forums long enough you probably remember me. I've shared a lot of my frustrations posted very long and detailed threads about how I would fix gameplay issues, X factors, goalies, player builder, the store, a story mode for WoC, etc. I've made threads about the direction of the series and highlighted how small of changes this dev team have come out with in each year.. I contemplated just building upon that.. the first game it was something like "oh we just took over, we did not have much time" the next year "look, we are working on multi-year projects, we don't want to rush anything, we want to do it right so this year there isn't much" (and I was actually excited to hear that at the time) but then another year with almost nothing.. and another.. now we have this connected season mode, something that seems any development team could have put together in just a couple days.. even the biggest fans, supporters, and defenders of this title are finally at a loss for words.. I mean what are we doing here? Looking at ANY thread on X outside of something nealer posts is EXTREMELY negative. The dev team has been silent since they took over.. nothing to share, no open communication, we just get whatever little they decide to give and want the same money a fully staffed team is getting after working for several years on a title and then they litter it with micro transactions like it's any other AAA title. What are the long term plans here? Maybe I'm mistaken but this studio seems like one of those famous Minnesota day care centers laundering money and just throwing something on the back of the box to keep the execs from looking and people buying. Typically this time of year is when most people are at least hopeful. Maybe not always super optimistic (some were) but hopeful. Now it's not excitement, its not optimism, its not hopeful, it's just dissapointment. No way to help improve it, no way to discuss the future or hear from the devs. No way to get a good game. now I see people saying "it sucks but I'll still buy it." This must be the worst start to the countdown to release I have EVER seen. Connected franchise is probably the most bare bones mode I've ever seen in any game. Crazy that they felt comfortable unveiling that, knowing full well how poorly it would be recieved and how little they care about that.
BAP Bug Report for NHL 26 and probably 27
EA, I know you guys won't be overhauling the Be a Pro (BAP) mode this year, but there are still several lingering bugs—many of which have been present for years. Could you please address and fix these for NHL 27? The Absolute Worst Bug in BAP 1) Disappearing Career Saves: My BAP saves keep vanishing. I have lost at least five career saves this year alone. This seems to happen when the game suddenly creates 3 or 4 backup saves for the active career I’m playing, which then causes it to delete the last career save in the list (I usually keep 4–5 careers going). Losing hundreds of hours of progress to disappearing saves is beyond frustrating. BAP Goalie Issues 2) Goalie Freezing Mid-Save: Goalie models will randomly freeze as if hitting an invisible wall during a save attempt. This most commonly occurs on slap shots from the blue line, but it also happens on rebound attempts. When you try to block the follow-up shot, the goalie simply doesn't respond to controller inputs. While this improves slightly once your goalie rating passes 95, some movement should still register when moving the sticks. 3) Shootout Camera Effect & Motion Sickness: The visual screen effect intended to simulate shootout nervousness for new goalies is far too intense. It makes stopping pucks nearly impossible and causes actual motion sickness. Please tone down (nerf) this effect significantly and add a toggle in the menu to turn it off. 4) Settings Reset (Hug Post & Tether): Every time you load into a Goalie Career, the "Hug Post" and "Tether" settings reset to default. You have to manually adjust them in Controller Settings during every session. All other game settings save correctly—only these two revert. 5) Shoulder Lines & Jersey Rendering: Goalie shoulder lines still look distorted despite recent patches. In fact, a recent patch ruined AHL goalie shoulder lines (which were previously fine). The jerseys, names, and numbers look stretched and low-resolution, similar to how NHL jerseys looked prior to the update. 6) Low-Poly Models when Pulled: When the goalie is pulled late in the game, the player models on screen degrade visually, appearing extremely low-res (resembling PS1-era graphics). 7) Overlay Stat Errors (OTL/SOL): On the end-zone faceoff circle statistical overlays, the goalie’s Overtime Losses (OTL) and Shootout Losses (SOL) always display as zero, regardless of actual career season stats. 8) Milestone Tracker Text Swap: On the Goalie Milestone Tracker, the text for records owned is swapped: "Most Shutouts" displays where "Most Wins" should be, and vice versa. 9) Single Record Display Limit: If your goalie breaks the Single-Season Wins record multiple times (e.g., holding the top 3 spots all-time), only your single best season is displayed on the leaderboard rather than listing all qualifying historical seasons. General BAP Issues (All Positions) 10) Mid-Season Trade Record Tracking: If you are traded mid-season and set a new single-season goal record, the league stats screen fails to recognize it as an overall record because it only tallies the goals scored with your current team. 11) Highlight Clip Position Bug: In highlight replays, every player is mislabeled as a Center ("C + [Number]"), regardless of their actual position—even if you are playing as a goalie.
Goal/penalty announcers!!!
Big Canucks fan here! Big reason why is because I love the commentating but even more the goals, assists and penalty announcing. PLEASE BRING actual announcers for each team. Al Murdoch: Canucks! Something like this would bring a huge change/dynamic to the game if this is at all possible.NHL 27 GMC
EA_Aljo I know that we've all been made aware that GMC will not have player development which is a tough hit to the mode because we could see guys bailing due to having terrible teams with very few options to get out of the bottom (unless someone gifts you a trade) or if your GMC league does a fantasy draft. My question is could we potentially have the ability to add new rosters or do roster updates after each season? This isn't ideal but it would allow GMC leagues to edit the draft classes or input their own way of development in the league via edited player rosters...it would also be cool to be able to add historic draft classes, future draft classes, etc. Anyway just wanted to ask as i thought this would make for a decent work around since player development will not be in NHL 27. Why we ever ever gonna want NHL to move onto pc? Personally I hope it never does. There's more opportunities to run scripts and probability to hackers. Obviously. The sports games EA already have on PC, are there not alot of cheaters in the games?! I hope EA lets all peep keep crying about how NHL is not on pc yet lol. Not saying all pc players are cheaters but still. What's the point of cheating anyways. Being assisted to have a competitive edge. Thinking your good. Useless people i swear, all it does is just ruin the game. And I can accept if someone is better then me, ill still finish a game where im losing 14-0. No matter how much im being troll to quit as well. But some people as well.League - Need People
