Be A Pro defensive grading
Seems to me that the grading handed out in Be A Pro mode is overly strict, far more so than the grading for offense and team play. My avatar player gives up zero goals and only five or so shots on goal the entire game, and yet my defensive grade for the game is B-. I realize that blocking shots, or stealing the puck counts for the grade, but there isn't sufficient weight given to denial of the opponent's shooting opportunities. I mean what's better quality defense, denying the opponent shots on goal through clogging up the neutral zone, or preventing the opponent from getting set to pass the puck around, or letting the opponent get set up for shots and then blocking them, or stick checking the puck away? In my view, there isn't proper grading for denying the opponent the offensive zone.
dodge/evade animation
In the game, there’s a dodge/evade animation that lets you slip past an opponent. But when I’m playing as a defenseman, I don’t want this animation to trigger. Sometimes I skate up to an opponent and just want to push or lightly bump him (using RS up), but the dodge animation activates instead. How can I stop it from triggering? Which setting or button controls this behavior? Does anyone know how to prevent opponents from deking around you? In real hockey, you can drop your shoulder, poke with your stick, or slow the opponent down. In-game, it feels too RNG-driven: it’s either a bump or they pull off an evasion animation and slip past.
3rd Jerseys
Can we get the third jerseys for NHL teams in WOC? It started at the end of NHL26 but we never got Pittsburgh or LA. This is the premier NHL title. Why can’t we have this in WOC? But there was no hesitation to include goofy things like Mischief, Gold Bones, Sorrow, Sinister, and Boar for pay all in a month period.Online Game
Would it be possible to implement a mechanic where players who skate around in circles in the offensive zone for 5–10 minutes without taking a shot gradually lose speed, performance, and stamina? Instead of giving them a penalty, their players should get tired faster and become less effective the longer they keep skating around and holding onto the puck without attempting to create a scoring chance. This would encourage players to actually shoot the puck and make plays instead of endlessly skating in circles while waiting for their opponent to make a mistake or pinch so they can get to the net. HiEA_Aljo kindly answer this. Ive given up regarding facescans, its an never ending disappointment. But regarding assigned generic faces to existing players : WHY cant you make it accessible for us to change faces? The dev team( or whatever team accountable for it) clearly dont care about it. There is 26!!!!!!!!!(counted so far) U20 players across the game, with matching generic faces that actually look like them, but instead they have a face that looks nothing like them, or an whole different ethnicity!? You have made Alexis Joseph Asian? Like C’mon… how lazy is that? And ive made a bunch of requests to youEA_Aljo and through the feedback portal on how to change them, it would literally take 15-20 min to change them all and give franchise mode a new life, BUT THE TEAM REFUSES. So i ask you WHY? And WHY isnt it possible to make it editable, so we can take care of it ourselves? This isnt something we should need to wait 1-2 years for. Be better. Thanks. So, haven't played in a month because after 30 games... just not impressed with matching system, ai and hoping for changes. Patches. We jump into a game yesterday. We play 2 in 6 v 6 . We are Silver Div 8 . So, who does EA match us with ?? Purple and Fire..... yup...they had 3 in 6 v 6 We actually scored 1st. First period up 1-0 We can hang with these kids. But the Ai just cant... its pathetic how they run them over. And come down and score. 7-1 was the result. Why do you not fix match making. I saw a YouTube video with your developers and the pathetic answer was it narrows down the competition pool. That's pathetic. Well. You just narrowed it down again. We not playing EA Chel any more. Its unplayable because of Matchmaking and Ai. Who wants to play a game and get destroyed by kids who either play all day and level up or buy players. Who wants to play with Ai players who are completely useless. I would wait a little longer to match with 2 's or same level of competition. Do you think its fun for fire and diamond players ?? Well. Its not for us. We're done.. Fix your matchmaking or fix your Ai !!!! Come on EAGreat Update…
First of all, in chel the update erased all of my team colors for jerseys and logos. It reset our uniforms, uniforms logos everything gone. That’s fun. Secondly, what’s up with the configuration errors and other errors in chel? Can’t play more than 2 games in a row without having to restart the whole game.
Icon Passing
Is anyone else getting tired of watching Icon passes off breakouts going right past your player who is in the passing lane and making zero effort to intercept the puck because it is auto sauced? I personally think the icon sauce is taking any resemblance of skill out of the game and is basically a get out of jail/forecheck free card. Unless it physically hits your player by accident, you can be in the pass lane and your skater will make zero attempts to intercept the puck. I was hoping quick pick would help with this but even that is not doing it. I have even seen pucks going through my legs to get to the player they passed to. I don't mind it if they have tape to tape or send it to get the puck through, at least it gives the xfactor some value but anybody being able to just press a button and sauce the puck past the entirety of defense seems wrong to me. I mean these skaters can redirect slap shots but they can't bat down a sauced pass at half the speed probably? So should sauced pucks only happen through manual aim and xfactors or do you like the Icon sauce ability?Feedback on Referee Integration: A Case for Immersion and Authenticity
I want to share some constructive feedback regarding the inclusion of female and diverse officials in the game. While I understand the intent, the current execution breaks immersion and feels unauthentic to the actual NHL product. To make the game feel more like a true simulation, I recommend adopting a "Quiet Integration" strategy based on how the real hockey pipeline works: Contextual Placement (AHL/Pre-season): In the real world, the NHL develops its female officials primarily through the AHL and rookie tournaments. Having them referee Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals in the game breaks realism. Please restrict their appearances to AHL games, pre-season, and rookie showcases in Franchise and Be A Pro modes to reflect reality. Proportional Representation: The frequency of these officials appearing in-game feels artificially high compared to real life. It should be a rare, randomized occurrence rather than happening in almost every game. Accurate Character Models: Using a standard 6-foot-2 male body model and swapping the head or adding a ponytail feels immersion-breaking. If these officials are going to be in the game, they need accurate, dedicated character models. Aligning the game with the actual operational reality of professional hockey would vastly improve the simulation and eliminate the feeling that this feature was forced.NHL 27 Feedback
I’m tired of having to keep my internet unplugged all the time so i can play this game without all the **bleep** updated you guys did to ruin this game. it plays 100 times more realistic with out of the box settings, actual strategies , less big hits, more puck battles, realistic stats. one thing that is little the , edmontons coach is a gray robot on here. But i’d rather have that little irk than 50 hits arcade game you changed it too. put the game back the way it was. Just saw patch notes for october 21 update, nothing. bout tuning hits. i want a refund, this game is not what we were showed before release, i dont want a licensed nhl arcade hits game, i want my 75 dollars back, ive been buying this game every since it started back on genesis. this game shouldn’t be licensed, it sucks, no strategies. too much hitting. this is the worst one yet . EA_Aljo Make it make sense. Why do EA refuse to put these in the game? THEY ARE NOT EVEN YET IN AND WE ARE PUSHING NOVEMBER?? Eiserman played last season in the AHL, and have 5 games played this season!? No problem adding him in HUT last season despite playing in the NCAA, but you refuse to put him in the game for the offline players, this is ridiculous.EA_Aljo Give me an real answer for this. Im so done with this franchise and dev team, you have ruined the game ive loved, long lasting and high paying customer, i will not give this team an cent more. I've gone a full game where there are NO camera cutaways to players, crowd, benches etc after whistles. The play is whistled dead and then the players just wait around until the camera fades to black for another faceoff.. I understand that after every whistle we don't need cutaways, but what happened to all the talk about the presentation and Broadcast camera orchestrator?? It feels like after every patch you guys take more and more of the presentation elements away...please bring more camera cuts back to keep it feeling like a true broadcast.
