Can't play SimCity - city won't load, hangs in load screen
Have read multiple forums, spoken with tech support and now here I am. This game is riddled with bugs, and now to top it off, I can't play it at all. The reason for the new post is because I can't play at all. All other related threads are about people not being able to get the game to load, or about not being able to play a specific city. I can get the game to load, but can't play any city at all. My SimCity updater works fine and connects to servers. I can then go through the menu screen and select a city to play. It then runs through all the loading (reticulating spleens etc.) but never actually gets into the city. Here's what I've tried (from other threads): Restart game Restart computer Swap servers Try playing a private game Run repair install Run SimCity Recovery App Reinstall SimCity Wait for it (to apparently connect to the servers) for 3 hours Remove contents of UserData folder (can't even play the tutorial after doing this) None of this has worked, so enlighten me... what next? Should I give up and just say that it was well worth the money for a box with a shiny plastic disc inside?
