Can't load SimCity
Can't load SimCity. I've been at it for over an hour and contacting support is, well not help full. Here's the screen shots of the error and a screen shot of the main screen while trying to log in. They did tell me there might be an issue with the servers and to try again later. Doubtful, but OK. Try again tomorrow.
We need more bigger maps !
Hello, the EA company: We are the SimCity 2013 fans . Now, the maps are so small, we can not play this game happy, we need more and more bigger maps and DLCs . We know the simcitys is be controlled by Doctor V , Now we need the Maxis man to make them freedom, and give us the bigger worlds to create a new city !
Solution to sim city not launching
So, I think I cracked it and I have used a mixture of fixes from others (apologies I cannot remember their names) Delete the EA shortcut off the desktop go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\ Apply compatibility for both EALauncher and EADesktop under the compatibility tab in properties to: Run the program as an administrator For EALauncher compatibility mode to windows 8. Right click EADesktop and send shortcut to desktop Go to C:\Program Files\EA Games\SimCity\SimCity Right click onto SimCity and go to properties and apply compatibility mode for windows 8 and run as administrator. Restart the PC and open EADesktop from the desktop and then launch the game - it did throw up the unable to launch but straight after it booted up perfectly, and now I can load and play without issues.
Missing DLC, EA says i need to purchase it again.
I wanted to play Simcity today. The Cities of Tomorrow add-on was missing from my library. After 70 minutes on support, the guy told me he couldn't do anything and I had to buy the add-on again. I have my old key, activation date, the last time I played this add-on was in 2022 and everything worked. I really don't know where to turn because I don't intend to tolerate this theft that EA is doing. I paid for the add-on, I didn't delete it from the app, they deny any fault and since it's an old game they can't help me and I have to buy it again.
SimCity 4 Deluxe does not launch or crashes
I solved this issue by locating the SimCity .exe file and changing the compatibility mode of the game to Windows 8. Instructions: Since I have the game on Steam, I navigated to the game executable in \Steam\steamapps\common\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps Right-click on SimCity 4.exe and select Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab. Under the Compatibility mode dropdown, select Windows 8. Click OK. Start the game. Edit: I paused the game, built some basic power, water and zoning, unpaused, and then the game crashed and wouldn't recover. ☹️ edited title for clarity: @BlackjackWidowSimCity won't launch. EA failed to launch error.
I have tried launching the game on two different accounts that own the title. I have reinstalled EA, reinstalled the game, cleared the cache, turned off the firewall, run as admin, logged out of EA and back in, run some kind of command prompt thing, nothing works. I am super frustrated that I am not able to play a game that I paid money for.

Missing SimCity add-ons in EA App
I purchased the SimCity: Complete Edition on Origin. I've switched to the EA App, as Origin was decommissioned. But the EA App does not recognize that I own all the add-ons. As a result, I cannot claim regions other users have abandoned in which they've used content from the add-ons I'm 'missing.' I've dealt with tech support, who consistently provides incredibly unsatisfactory responses.
Simcity 4 Cannot open on the EA app for Mac.
The EA App says it is unavailable on Mac and to download Origin in order to play it. Origin will not allow me to continue using it and is forcing me to get the EA app, it does not give me an option to play on it. How can I play SimCity 4 on my EA app when it says that it is unavailable on the EA App?
Cities of Tomorrow Expansion Pack not Showing up in 'Owned Add Ons' section
Case #199104592 I've been sent to post here from EA Help as they couldn't help. I redeemed a physical code for SimCity: Cities of Tomorrow around 8-10 years ago on the EA app (Origin at the time). The issue is that Cities of Tomorrow isn't coming up as an 'owned add-on'. This doesn't affect gameplay however as SimCity still loads all Cities of Tomorrow content fine most of the time (it does play up sometimes). The issue affects any computer I install SimCity on so I think it could be some issue related to my account? I've cleared the EA App cache, restarted computer, reinstalled EA App and SimCity (many times), tried redeeming the code again (EA app says it's already been redeemed). Although this doesn't affect gameplay now as I can still access Cities of Tomorrow content no problem, I just want the EA app to reflect that I own this add-on to prevent any issues in the future. Hi, I purchased the SimCity 2013 complete edition and downloaded it to my EA account. the game works fine however it looks like the hero's and Villans set is not on it. (maxis man / vu tower is not in the game for some reason). to my knowledge everything other than that seems to be there and working as should. not sure why this is but if someone can please direct me on what I can do to resolve this issue I would appreciate it.Simcity 5
For the love of god will you go back and fix the bugs that have existed since launch specifically the Tusca Cliffs bug with placing boat ports and not being able to connect roads, also while you’re at it cut the * with your modding rules. Games 12 years old and long dead. The few of us here would like to run a properly modded region with friends.
Please point out a no entry or utility only road sign
This solution can be in game or with a mod. My sim citizen do not need access to sewer system, solar plant, or any other utility. This is always a traffic jam, and I'm not building ridiculous and expensive roads/public transpo to solve a problem, that was solved in the early days of RollerCoaster Tycoon OG.
