Sims Cookbook
I was just on Amazon because I was looking for a multiple light Plumbob Headband (you know so I could change the colors depending upon my mood). Well, I came across this. Has anyone seen it? Has anyone ordered it? If yes, then are they any good?mikkimouse19782 days agoRising Hotshot19Views0likes0CommentsProposal New Sims Game
Proposal for a New Sims Game — The Ultimate Community Dream Hello, EA and Maxis Team, I've been a passionate fan of The Sims since its inception, and I want to share with you a dream that many players, like myself, yearn for: a new Sims game that fuses the best of all the previous installments (Sims 1, 2, 3, and 4), while also introducing innovations that make the experience even richer, deeper, and more free-flowing. I want to imagine a game where: Seamless, open world: The player can move freely through a living world, without loading screens between neighborhoods, districts, or areas, so the experience is fluid and natural, like a true life simulation (just like The Sims 3). Unlimited building and customization: Being able to edit and create not just houses, but entire neighborhoods and landscapes with intuitive and powerful tools, allowing you to create everything from a modern city to a charming small town. Sims with Real Emotional Depth: I want Sims to have memories that affect their behaviors, emotions, and decisions over time, with complex relationships that evolve over time, including secrets, conflicts, and unforgettable moments. Creating Sims with Soul: A creation system that combines the depth of traits, aspirations, and characteristics from all series, with customizable options for appearance, personality, tastes, zodiac signs, compatibility system, and lifestyle, making each Sim unique (combining everything from The Sims 1, 2, 3, and 4 regarding this theme). Realistic Transportation and Mobility: Integrating functional modes of transportation, from cars and bikes to public transit or magic options, so that getting around is part of the experience (just like The Sims 2 or 3). Creature and Role Diversity: Include vampires, mermaids, ghosts, aliens, robots, fairies, wizards, and more, with their own stories and ways of interacting in the world, enriching diversity and narrative possibilities (as in The Sims 3 and 4). Artistic and Cultural Expression: Incorporate venues for live music, dancing, painting, writing, and other art forms into the game, encouraging creativity and social interaction, and even adding a new profession, such as singer or musician. Family and Multigenerational Dynamics: Simulate family life with generational changes, inheritances, unexpected events, and evolving personal stories, reflecting the complexity and beauty of real life. Also, allow others in The Sims to age, not just the family you control. Realistic and Emotional Interactions: Authentic animations and responses to interpersonal relationships, from simple gestures to profound displays of affection or conflict, to make Sims feel more alive and human (The Sims 2 and a bit of The Sims 3 and 4). Integration of a Karma or Destiny system: Where Sims' actions have lasting consequences on their lives and the world around them, encouraging meaningful choices. Narrative and Roleplay Tools: Easily enable players to create complex in-game stories, with options to guide events, dialogue, and Sims' destinies. Sound and Music Customization: Allow players to integrate or create their own music within the game and create custom radio stations, giving each world its own unique atmosphere. Music Bands and Solo: As in other Sims games, there's the option to create a rock band, or any band of any genre of music, or for an individual to be a musician of any genre they choose. Layered clothing and hair, and more aesthetic freedom: Clothes can be worn in sections (like in Sims 3), accessories can be combined freely, garments can be dyed in-game, and textures or patterns can be chosen. Also, hair can be layered and multiple colors. Deep personality and memory system (like in Sims 2): Sims have real memories, traumas, complex emotions, and their own opinions, all of which influence how they relate to each other and evolve over time. Full life cycle and more age stages: Infants, toddlers, pre-teens, teens, young adults, adults, seniors, and seniors, with unique activities, entertainment, and changes for each stage. Improved weather system and natural cycles: More realistic seasons, occasional natural disasters (storms, heavy snowfall, earthquakes), moon phases, eclipses, high and low tides in beach areas, etc. More human and realistic relationships: Unique hugs based on emotions, gentle caresses, deep reconciliations, painful breakups, jealousy, infidelity, love triangles, open or polyamorous relationships, etc. Better-Developed Education and More Realistic Family Life: Playable schools, colleges, and universities with realistic activities, interactions, teachers, personalized classes, homework, and a deeper social life for teens and young adults. Playable schools, preschool, high school, university, parent conferences, camps, adoptions, active grandparents, divorces, family secrets, legacies, and inheritances. Advanced AI and Narrative Autonomy: Autonomous Sims who act according to their personalities, relationships, and environment; NPCs who develop their own lives, find partners, work, and make mistakes. Richer object interactions: Each object has many realistic options, such as cleaning appliances, personalizing furniture, storing memories, playing instruments with emotions, or repairing things with real tools. Modern in-game technology: Deeper fictional social networks, influencers, in-game video games, streaming, online stores, dating apps, home automation, virtual assistants, etc. Memory System and Photo Album: Capture key moments in your Sim's life, save them in a journal or family album, relive them, and have them emotionally impact you in the future. Events, festivals, and multifunctional packages: Cultural/local celebrations, events (Christmas, fairs, carnivals), hotels, resorts, and mixed packages (shop + home, bars, sports centers). Various hobbies and industries: Skateboarding, yoga, organized sports (leagues), policing, firefighting, tattooing, worship, streaming, cooking, advanced gardening, science, creative roles and so on. This new game would be the perfect bridge between the nostalgia of the classics and the innovation of the future, a gift to the community that wants to experience their stories with freedom, depth, and love. Thank you for considering my vision. I'm excited to see how The Sims evolve and hope this idea provides inspiration for creating an unforgettable experience. With all my love, A passionate fan and dreamer who just wants everything from previous series combined into one game and more to come.Remintei4 days agoRising Novice43Views0likes0Comments- SEREFRAS13 days agoLegend19Views0likes0Comments
Hi EA peeps :) REQUEST: SIMS CASTAWAY IN PC
I've been playing Sims since I was in grade school, and right now, I'm nearly in my 30s lol. This has been my go-to game whenever I'm happy or sad. I remember playing Sims Castaway with my PS2 way back. Since then, I discovered that I love nature. Growing up, I tended to find myself at peace whenever I was on our farm, planting veggies and fruits, and harvesting them. And I always daydream that I am in Castaway every time I am in the ocean, and right now I'm doing freediving :) <3 I just realized that Sims Castaway has a huge contribution to who I am now. I'm writing this letter or whatever to thank you for creating Sims, especially Sims Castaway. I just hope that you can also have this gameplay available on PC, because it's hard to find a PS2 right now. PS. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Sims Castaway in PC :)ff8523e6fee8238026 days agoSeasoned Newcomer29Views1like0CommentsSims Console titles on GameCube NSO!
It would be really great to be able to play The Sims 1 for Consoles, The Sims Bustin’ Out, and The Urbz, via the new GameCube Nintendo Classics app on Switch 2! Seeing as SoulCalibur 2 made it onto the app, I would love to be able to play the older titles via said app as on both Switch 1 and 2, we only have the MySims Cozy Bundle right now. :)54Views1like0Commentsdid you know about ChatGPT?
if you have ideas and you can't come up with something they can answer the question? even The Sims pack ideas you have in mind? i know i have lots of edits to do here and there (even the ones that's no longer on my own posts) it can answer the world name, aspirations (and which category it counts) personality traits, the country (or countries) idea it can be based on (it's just to name a few) i just discovered this since recently since someone on the comment mentioned something about using ChatGPT for some ideas and i was like "oh why not?" but you can use ChatGPT if you run out of ideas with certain name you have in mind just to keep it in mind of coursesailorleontine2 months agoSeasoned Ace101Views0likes0CommentsThe Sims Medieval Not Working
Hello all, I’ve come on here to express my complete frustration with the company EA and the way they handle older games. I have been sitting at my computer for the past five hours trying to get the Sims Medieval to play. Any time I launch it, the error code 0xc000007b appears. I have tried EVERYTHING. I tried alder patch, I have tried downloading the other DirectX files, I have tried using Process Lasso, running the game as an administrator, the TSM.ps1 code, repairing the game, deleting cache, etc. This game will not work. I tried to reach out to the EA help, but after trying to do everything they recommended and the game still not working, they told me to take my computer to a local technician to try to get it to work. I’m sorry, but after spending money for a game, I feel that it is absurd to ask the customer to go spend even more money to see if maybe, possibly, someone else could fix it. At this point, I am out of options and feel completely defeated. I tried to see if I could get a refund, but while trying to upload files to somehow prove to them that the game does not work, they said I took too long to respond and closed me out of the chat. I have been playing the sims franchise for 10+ years at this point, and really love the Sims 3 and 2. But this makes me want to stop playing for good. For too long now, EA has taken advantage of players and refuses to fix older games like Sims Medieval. I wish there was a way to talk to someone higher up, but all they leave us with is the EA chat, which has not been helpful. My partner plays games like Call of Duty, and even their games from the 2000s still work. If older games from other companies still work, then there is no reason why an EA game from 2001 does not. Does anyone know any way to get this game to work? If not, I will continue trying to get a refund, even though I’m sure that will end up pointless as well. Redeemed a code for this game, installed it, got through the intro cutscenes (Patrick Stewart, wonderful as always,) but once I get to the main menu, a popup saying that the installation is incomplete blocks me from going any further. Clicking the check returns me to the desktop. I've tried repairing and reinstalling the game, but neither works. (Pardon potato quality, it didn't like me trying to screenshot it.)38Views0likes0Commentscan you name a game other than sims4 with the sims plumbob

For many, AI is a buzzword; a controversial and convoluted topic thrown around so much it's easy to roll your eyes and ignore it. In recent years we've seen the use of AI become popularized and even standardized with OpenAI's DALL-E and ChatGPT providing image generation and automated responses respectively. Google has their AI search overview — which can be at times inaccurate and misleading — as well as their new Gemini assistant. Microsoft has Copilot, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Whatsapp and Messenger have Meta AI, and X has Grok. Generative AI is the norm now, the "future," but what does this mean for The Sims and why should we even care? Anyone who has been at least somewhat following The Sims 4's competitor inZOI knows that they use generative AI in their game, though KRAFTON claims its AI is trained using a database of assets owned by the company and copyright free. Despite this, it's easy to take a look into the files of the game and see that it simply uses a fine-tuned version of Stable Diffusion 1.5 with only a few kilobytes difference. Copyrighted material has been seen generated in-game. It takes a large amount of data to train AI models, something most people either overlook or are unaware of in the first place. AI consumers are also probably unaware of the fact that generative AI has an impact on the environment as well. Generative AI isn't just stealing from artists and writers or being used as a tool to get homework done faster; it is increasing energy consumption, water consumption, and carbon emissions. So again, what does any of this have to do with The Sims? If utilizing generative AI is the path that EA wants to go down in the future, I can only imagine the effects it would have not just because of issues with AI but also gameplay- and feature-wise. The witty writing could either disappear or completely fall flat. Sims could lose their character and the things that make them unique. As typical with AI, things would no doubt start to make less sense — and not in the fun Sims way we know and love. Of course all of what I just proposed is hypothetical, but I know it isn't something I would enjoy. From what EA has shown with The Sims Hub, its features appear to use more of an image recognition technology than generative AI, but they do promote it as powered by AI, so I remain skeptical. That paired with EA's recent survey for Sims players who also played inZOI makes me suspect that they might want to jump on that bandwagon. It's upsetting to see how lenient everyone has become to AI as a whole without taking into consideration the consequences of its use. The Sims franchise is something that both my mom and I have deep feelings for. My mom's been playing ever since 2000, and I remember playing The Sims 2 and having all of the CDs as a kid. I played The Sims 2 and The Sims 2 Castaway all the time on my pink Nintendo DS. The Sims games are a comfort to me, a safe space, and a way to get away from a world that is admittedly seeming more unstable as I grow up. I want The Sims to continue to have the charm it started off with, and while people may disagree about whether The Sims 4 still maintains that charm and personality, I think that it does — but how long is it going to last? I didn't mean to ramble for so long, and while my words might fall on deaf or ignorant ears, I believe it's worth saying anyway. Hi EA Team, I’m a huge fan of The Sims 3: Medieval. It has been one of my favorite Sims games since I was a kid. It has been years that I have been wanting to replay it, but I can’t because it is not supported on 64-bit systems. Please consider updating the game to be 64-bit compatible, like you did with The Sims 3, or re-releasing it in some way. It would mean so much to me, and I know there are many other players who would love the chance to return to that world too without having to use a Windows. Thank you for considering it!melodjous3 months agoNewcomer34Views0likes0CommentsGame suggestion
