The game Failed to save. error code: 0

I was playing the sims 4 and saved my game then 10 mins later I tried to save again and it said failed to save error: 0

then I switched families and tried to save and it saved.

also yesterday as I tried to save it said error 0 as well but since I did save and exit it exited out so I lost an hour of playing.

why is this happening and what can I do to ensure it doesn’t happen anymore.

btw I’m on a Mac a

    @zandraa_d

    You can move the whole saves folder to the desktop and the game will recreate a new one when you next launch the game.

    Ok so I did everything in that post yesterday! I didn’t put my old saved back just restarted a new game with a new save. However, as I’m playing today I go to save and the same thing comes up! I try to save again then this comes up ( cc attached photo) it keeps doing it so I switch households and the original error 0 comes up when I try to save! I’m not sure what to do at this point??

    @Bluebellflora Ok I will try it! What does having a new user change for the game.
    I also just noticed in crinrict’s link he was taking about slot 000001 being the culprit but I don’t have that, mine start with 2. Like it’s saved in the first slot but in my saved folder it starts with 2

    @zandraa_d my article is several years old and was fixed at the time,

    slot_00000001.save is not used anymore. That's the autosave that was ditched a while ago.

    If you have this now (and on a mac), it's like something else than it was back then.

    Please try @bluebellfora's suggestion and then get back to us.
