Re: brand new Xbox One X crashes every single game (turns itself off)

@THale8  That's bad! It's not just a crash to Dashboard. I've never experienced a completely shutdown on Xbox One S.

Try this:

  1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
  2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

  3. Plug the console power cable back in.
  4. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Test more other games cause maybe it will shutdown in a few minutes or a few hours and if it happens again send console back to Microsoft.

i appreciate the reply, ill try a power supply reset again. I changed osme of my display settings on my xbox and was actually able to finish my first game in a couple weeks but then it started crashing again. really think i might just have to get a new console

  • Shutting down like that usually means the CPU/gpu chip is over heating. It will shut down to prevent damage. But usually when this happens you get a message on startup informing you of what's happened. Assuming you have re installed the game after a full wipe and it didn't help then I'd say it was the co sole. Maybe badly seated heatsink? Does it sound loud when it's running? Fast fan speed?

@PullMeiFinger appreciate the reply. yes the fan is loud but it is only loud when playing apex. never gotten a message on restart of the console after a crash though. yeah ive deleted the saved game data then uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times to no avail.
