Re: Apex Legends Cross Progression Prompt Came but I got zero items from my xbox acc

@EA_Illium

-I play on PC steam currently. When I played through season 1-5 I played on Xbox.

-I played on PC prior to October 26th i have almost 1k hours on steam alone. and more on origin. I played on Xbox mentioned above years ago when game was first released.

-I didn't gain any progress from Xbox at all. My PC stats are still on my account, however none of my Xbox season 1-5 battle pass skins or heirlooms etc. got added to my PC account.

    Hi @mcJackerr

Thanks for the information, based on what you've described, did you by chance unlink the Xbox account from an older EA account to link it to the same EA account that Steam is tied to?

If so, this won't bring your items, progress, etc over as progress is stored on the EA account level, not individual platforms like Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, etc.

    Thanks!

@Drei-Senpaiii Same to confirm your missing items from your Xbox on PC? If so did you unlink your account from an EA account?

  • @EA_Illium I'm confused by what you mean. I unlinked my xbox account from some random EA account before Oct. 26th. And linked it to my current EA account which has always had steam linked to it. So by what you are saying my xbox stats are gone now? is there anyway to fix this?
  • @EA_Illium Is there anyway to link the old EA account to my current EA account so that they xbox stats come over??
  • @EA_Illium I think I'm in a similar situation. Does this mean my xbox items were lost and unrecoverable? and if so can I link my xbox account back to the old ea account in hopes of having it on xbox at least?
  • I don't think so. I used to play on the PS4, which was from season 0 - 4. I moved to PC using origin with the same EA account which obviously means creating an account for pc, then moved later to steam using that same email and I kept my progress from origin as well.

I don't remember unlinking anything to be specific. I literally just played on different platforms.

  • @EA_Illium I got in contact with another EA member and said that my xbox stats are on my old EA account because progress stays on the other EA account even if I moved my Xbox account over to the new EA account before cross progression it doesnt matter because when I earned my badges etc It was linked to my old EA account. This means all of my stats are on a random EA account and EA doesn't merge progress between accounts so there is no fix and 400 dollars and limited time battle pass skins are sitting on a random EA account...

In short our progress and money went to waste. I did the same thing with my account a few months ago and I had the same problem as you, Ea doesn't even warn me about it.

  • yes this happend to me too i had a random account linked to the xbox account so i started using it now all my stuff is gone 300$+ all christmas and birthday money ☹️

    HI @mcJackerr

To confirm your progress would be on the other original EA account, this is because progress is stored on the EA account level, not individual platforms like Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, etc.

To try and restore your content you will need to link it back to that account, this is working as intended.

    Hi @nFChilis @who_is_mini

You can find information about linking and unlinking on our Help Site:

While I recommend reading both articles, if you check under the "Unlink your platform" > Under the section: Unlinking risks for Apex players

If you unlink a platform account that you use to play Apex Legends, you might have issues with Battle Pass leveling, item unlocks, and other errors.

Instead of unlinking and relinking a platform account you play Apex on, we recommend starting fresh on a new account.

    Hello @Big_Smoke9996745

To confirm did you unlink your platform from an EA account to link it to the one its currently on? If so, please see the information above.

    Hey @Drei-Senpaiii

You can reach out to our support to confirm this, and further investigate if it was never on another EA account.

    How to use EA Help

    Cheers!

  • Yes I unlinked my old main account (my Ps account) from an older email to attach it to my new personal email as I didn't have one at the time (2019).

    But I have some questions

    1) Will I get another cross progression prompt?

    2) Have I lost my account?

    3) Will I get it back soon?

    Hi @Big_Smoke9996745

To answer your questions directly, Yes, No, Depends.

To confirm your first question "Will I get another cross-progression prompt?" Are you asking for your older EA account?

For your second and third questions "Have I lost my account? & Will I get it back soon?" This will depend on your getting your PSN account linked back to its originally linked EA account.

    -----

As mentioned in my post above, Progress is stored at an EA account level so by unlinking your PSN account and linking it to a new EA account you leave your progress and items on the original EA account which is why you don't have anything now.

To attempt an restore your progress you will need to link the PSN account back to the original EA account.

You can find information about linking and unlinking on our Help Site:

  • I have just gone to my EA account and it says "You can Unlink your account after 05/13/2024

And for my first question i asked was for my new/current account

    now what should I do

  • same here got the first promt start here crap did it thing and got nuthin at all is there a second one that is supposed to pop up at all

and yes my xbox account be active since season 0 to s15 when i came to pc

and i change my email address on my xbox account did that affect anything at all i hope not

so like i kinda want all my stuff

    please get back
