I see a LiveKernelEvent which is a hardware error, and some rather serious Windows Update errors in your DxDiag.
A clean installation of the graphics driver might solve the LiveKernelEvent problem:
Download the latest NVIDIA driver from the Lenovo website of your Laptop.
- Then follow this manual to the letter to cleanly uninstall all NVIDIA components.(except the driver download.)
- Install the graphics driver > Go online.
- Test.
Thank you so much!
I will follow the steps you advised and let you know.

Hi,
I am hesitant because you specify to follow the steps to the letter but what i have on screen is different to what the pdf shows. Any advice on what i should tick and untick as it appears on my computer? I join a screen shot of how the list shows up for me.
Downloaded the game free from Epic Games (Hape Epic Games App) not on C: but F: drive (another SSD disk where i have dozens of games installed)
Have EA App installed (reinstalled)
Everytime i try to run the game says on EA App "This games requires administrative previleges. Do you want to grant access and launch the game? Ok or Close." Nothing happens. Tried to Repair the game. Unninstall, install again.
Tried all before text this. Don't know what to do more
Windows11 Pro up-to-date
AMD Adrenaline 24.5.1
Etc etc, all
Little help please!
You can leave this options as they are.
There is a "Program Compatibility Assistant" error regarding DAi, did you tired to run the game in compatibility mode?
@scoobydino2022
Do you have enough room on your C: or another drive so you an test if the game runs if you install it there?I followed your instructions and tried the game again but it still doesn't work. I wanted to play with dragons ☹️
Thank you for your help though, i really appreciate it
@holger1405Yes, have more than enough space.
I reinstalled my PC. All updated. Epic, EA App, Steam, etc. The only soft i didn't installed was AMD Adrenalin Software.
The only game i installed was DAI. Fresh download from EPIC. Started from Epic or EA App but this time, stucks. No error. Just stucks more than 30min on the blacl loading screen. . There's an example with a PS3 issue https://youtu.be/CfDl-2Jj_FY
It's all weird here. Maybe the Epic have a corrupted free downloaded game?

You should install AMD Adrenalin, its the driver software for your GPU.
Please provide a new DxDiag.
Please also provide a new DxDiag.
@Szmaciurap
The error message indicates that the linking of the Epic and EA account did not work.
Are you sure the accounts are properly linked now?thats the problem i cant connect my Epic Games acc to EA the only way to connect them is by clicking on EA game on Epic Games but i get this error every time on every EA game
Hi
Here is the DxDiag I did just after seeing the game still wasn't working.
I also have the same problem. Tried unistalling both the game and the ea app.I also repaired it multiple times. Nothing worked.
Also not working here - just doesn't launch in any capacity ☹️ Seems to be really broken. Can you help at all?
- @holger1405
I've tried and still nothing, also tried to uninstall and re install it to C, did the compatibility mods and administrator mode, but the game still won't start.
If you have any other suggestions please let me know because I'm out of ideas.
But many thanks anyway. Sorry for wasting ur time. Can u help me with this problem? Here is Diag
There might be a security software blocking the link or there could be a problem in EA app.
For the second:
Please clear your temp files:
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
- Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
- Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
(If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)
Then: - Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller". (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)
- Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall EA app.
- At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "intensive" > Browse.
- If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
- When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All (Make sure the "Origin Games" folder is not in the list) > Delete.
- Restart the PC
- Download a new EA app setup exe from here.
- Install EA app
- Restart the PC > Test.
@IAmAlixDamnit
Your NVIDIA graphics driver is outdated.
Follow this manual to the letter to cleanly uninstall all NVIDIA components. - Install the graphics driver > Go online.
- Test.
@Donjohnakos1
Your NVIDIA graphics driver is also outdated.
Update your driver in the same way:
Follow this manual to the letter to cleanly uninstall all NVIDIA components. - Install the graphics driver and GFE. > Go online.
- Test.
@SpartanJono
There are no DAi or EA app errors in your DxDiag, but a constant crash of "DtsApo4Service.exe"
Please preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.
In clean boot:
- Make sure the "EABackgroundService" remains enabled under point 3 in the guide.
- Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and also Afterburner and similar software is disabled.
- Make sure DtsApo4Service.exe is not running.
- Make sure only your Mouse and keyboard are connected to the PC
@dradonknighthun
I meant if you tried to run the game in compatibility mode before you posted?
@726b6528fe1d6570
There are no DAi or EA app errors in your DxDiag but Memory leak warnings for many other applications.
It is difficult to find an entry point for troubleshooting here. You could try a clean boot as described above.
- @holger1405
Yes, I've tried a few things before posting the issue here. If you are on a PC try to repair the game.
(Origin: Game Library > Right-click the game cover > Repair)
(EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)
Remove all compatibility settings from the "DragonAgeInquisition.exe"I have already uninstalled my NVDIA drivers following the instructions you gave and the driver i have installed comes from the link you provided in the #13 reply.
But the latest version they offer on the lenovo site is from 2021 which seems old to me too.
- @holger1405
Got the game from epic same as the original post.
Removed all compatibility settings, repaired, but still nothing.
But according to the EA app I have played 8 minutes with the game already XD Still no luck but thanks for help you helped more then EA in 1 month so nice...
@holger1405 Thanks for responding, but this made no difference at all. It just seems if you got the game through Epic it will not work at all. What a shame.
I got it through Epic Games too and on my computer it's not working but i know someone with an old laptop who got it on Epic Games also, and it works on his.
@holger1405 Thanks for your answer! I fixed problem. Originally, I am not from english speaking country, and one of mother folders where game was in Cyrillic, so I changed the name of the folder from "игры" to "games" and it worked! No system problems, fortunately.
- @IAmAlixDamnit same here. Perhaps you had DAI before you got it from Epic? And the person with the old laptop didn't?
We both got the game on Epic Games at the same time and for the first time. And his laptop is 11 years old too so i really thought my computer would have no issues with it.
