I have attempted the clean boot, but the issue persists. Attached is my DxDiag.
The game doesn't support the EA app at all because developers stopped the support so playing Anthem on EA app is impossible while it's still working on Origin.
I have the same issue on a Fresh Windows 10 install with latest GPU updates, there is nothing to do. Players with fresh Origin install can't play the game anymore.
- @EA_Illium Getting the same error as the OP. Previously I was getting the error about a registry entry and a window asking me to sign in to Origin. Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi @MagenZion @FulMetalPanda We've seen this message recently with a few titles.
To confirm has the Origin client been completely removed from your device and is EA app fully installed?
- @EA_Illium Correct, I reformatted my SSD (the only storage device in my PC) about 2 weeks ago so it has never had Origin and the EA app is fully installed.
Thanks! @EA_Illium Correct, only the EA App is installed. I attempted to download a fresh version of the Origin client, but I was unable to do anything as the only option it gives is to download the EA App. I completely removed Origin and restarted my PC, but was still unable to launch the game with the EA App.
Same problem here. Origin wasnt installed, only EA App.
Tried everything … clean boot, uninstalled the game and EA App and reinstalled both, cleared cache of EA App.
Tried to use origin which didnt work, cause of that "switch to EA App" popup.
Someone mentioned, in an other post (different game), to try an older origin version (10.5.104)(there is no "switch to EA App" popup), and disable "automatic update", which worked.
- @EA_Illium Is there an approved download for the previous versions of Origin? In reference to what @DlNONUGGET has stated.

I wanted to check I saw another player mentioned in relation to this error with another title. Can you check that 'run as admin' is disabled from the desktop icon's windows properties screen and check if the same error pops up?
If it continues to happen, can we test a new user account?

"Your game failed to launch" with "Get the Game" and "Close" as options. Apparently the forced push to the EA launcher made launching this game impossible? - @EA_Illium "Run as Admin" was already disabled and I attempted to launch with a new user account and still no change. Almost seems like my game entitlements are not syncing correctly. I have purchases in my purchase history that do not appear in my Game Library and the Error prompts me to purchase the game when I already have it. Hope this helps! I would like to play my games again.
Having this exact issue. Hope you guys fix it fast. Getting locked out of your games because you guys wanted to push a new app is really annoying...
Been going on for weeks. Unable to launch Anthem. Reinstalled. Tried launching as admin etc. So frustrating!
I had the same issue (enthesis on had), but it got fixed in a very unspectacular way...
As I was browsing EA forum (like this thread) and losing hope of playing Anthem, I decided to run EA App's repair on Anthem (with no manual file adjustments before) and as I was waiting for it to finish I opened up a support contact site (https://help.ea.com/pl/contact-us/?product=anthem&searchTerm=Anthem&community=true&platform=pc&category=technical-support&issue=game-wont-launch&isContactForm=true&isChannelSelection=true) so I could write that auto fixing the game didn't help when they asked about it.
But the auto repair finished and the game launched...
No issues after this point to...

Good day @EA_Illium . I have gone through this whole forum form earlies to latest post of this error where in the game has failed, and the one thing i noticed on every one who tried to resolve the problem, its like EA wants to make it the users problem to fix and that nothing can be done on EA's side of things. i was also told of as of this morning 21/05/2023 that i need to come to the forums and seek help here by a EA games support technician insert name (Nameera) and report tis as an issue saying that EA has no recollection of such a problem, and that enough users have the same issue it will be escalated to who i have no idea. "enough users to have the same problem" i have just read through 6 pages of hundreds of people complaining, and i see that even 6 MONTHS after the first complaint EA has done NOTHING to solve this problem.

Has there been any update to this? if so this is scugin dumb if we bought on Origin we just can't play anymore is ridiculous

@SirKrimsonSins There has not been an update to this as of this morning. The cause has been found, it is a matter of fixing it for everyone. When there is an update for it, I will let yall know here.
So the cause has been found, but I am guessing it is still broken?
I guess we just got to keep posting until they finally fix, because it seems like EA support just doesnt really want the help.
I'm sorry to say this but the email option for support is terrible, part of customer support is actually talking to your customers

@FromTheWolfs It isn't actually broken. There is way more to the reason it isn't launching. At the moment, there is no need to keep posting because they know what the issue is and they are trying to resolve it the best way for all players. This isn't always done overnight. If these things are not tested correctly then it could cause more harm and we are right back here. Im watching this closely because I enjoy this game and I am a huge Bioware fan, so I want to make sure everyone is updated on what is happening. Sadly the last update I saw was that they are working on a way to fix it for everyone at once and not on an individual basis as that would take quite a while to do.

@EA_Kent got the problem resolved with a ea. agent online called Pawan2 ''https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/you-need-to-enable-uac-windows'' Adjust the Protection level and it will Resolved the problem many thanks to Pawan2 This did not resolve the problem for me. Can you explain what protection level you changed your settings to?
Trust me, they will never fix this, i already lost hope in this crappy EA apps smh
It's really just super frustrating that we're getting close to six months of not being able to play a game we paid for because of some kind of error that's purely on EA's end.
But since this is "not a priority" or whatever we just have to sit here and not play. It kind of blows my mind to be honest how it's ok for a game to not be playable by a paying customer for MONTHS. Feels like that should definitely be a priority.
