How do you make your SIM write a song?

Question

My one SIM's life-goal is to write and sell songs. I have her to level 6 on piano, guitar and violin skills. How do I get her to write a song? I do not see it as an option on any of the instruments, and it is not an option on the "write" function of the computer. Is there another place to go to allow them to write music?

@miriahsnail  You need to have level 8 to be able to write songs.

@miriahsnail You can use the guitar, violin and piano at level 8 as @crinrict described, but also level 8 at singing will allow your sim to write a song.
