What about an update (just like this) on the actual major problem hundreds of thousands are experiencing? I think a simple status update on whats going on with Superstar Mode will go a long way @EA_Kent
It’s, not letting me play the game at all because the Trial can only be played on the account that downloaded it? I bought the game!

Experiencing this exact same issue, I bought the MVP bundle with CFB 25, and now we're hit with this garbage? I'm the only account on my x, and say's this crap about the trial?? Heads up EA, I NEVER downloaded the trial, what a damn joke.

Hey all,
If you're still running into the same trial error, can you try something for me?
Log into a different profile on your Xbox, then log back into your main account. Let me know if you're still running into the same trial message after that.

- sirdab11 months agoRising Adventurer@MadDogKevin While in the game screen, sign out of account, then sign right back in without closing game. It should reset your EA connection and take you into menu screen.
this is unacceptable. Literally shoveled out 150$ for a product I can’t even use. EA is literally scamming their customers.

Can you confirm a couple things for me so I can pass along the details?
- Which platform are you playing on?
- What's your Xbox Gamertag, PSN ID, or EA Account ID?
- Do you have the College Football 25 + Madden NFL 25 MVP Bundle?
- If you're playing on console, do you own the game on your account, or are you game sharing from a different account?

Okay but now that the weekend is over it’s telling me that I must be signed into the account that downloaded the game? Same as everyone before have been playing the game for weeks. Now I can’t even sign in? Sounds about right.
I am getting a message: EA PLAY Trial
This trial can only be played on the account that downloaded it. Please sign back into that account and restart the game to continue your progress.
- Problem is, I can't get pass this screen to sign in. Signed in on my phone to send this message but that didn't help. I bought the ncaa/madden 25 bundle and now I can't play.
I am playing on xbox gamertag is Hi Lm Dalton, I have the MVP bundle and I own the game. I have to sign in and out after every online game I play to get back in because the EA play trial message pops up and won't go off. It says this trial can only be played on the account that downloaded it and to please sign back into my account and restart the game to continue my progress. I have done this several times and it hasn't helped. I owned and played the game since early access.

Hey everyone,
We're currently looking into the issue that's preventing some Madden NFL 25 owners from playing the game right now. We will follow up here and let you know when we have any updates to share.
In the meantime, please give the following steps a try to see if it helps:
- Launch Madden NFL 25
- Reach the Main Menu and get the Trial error message
- Hit the Xbox button on your controller
- Go to Profile & System
- Select Log Out
- Log back in with the same account once you reach the Account Login screen
- Return to Madden NFL 25. You should see the game reconnect to the servers
- You should no longer see the Trial error

yes I own the game and bought it
When I sign into alternate profile then back to my original profile i am allowed to play one challenge before reverting back to saying this trial can only be played on the account that downloaded it.

Appreciate you giving it a shot! Do you also have the MVP bundle with College Football 25, or do you only have Madden NFL 25 by itself?

Thanks, I actually got it fixed by logging out of my account from this page, and logged back in, and that seemed to correct the issue.

To confirm does your account own the MVP bundle or another account on the console?
- @EA_Kent I am still having this problem, would this have anything to do with me unable to access custom rosters and draft classes?
Iv played my trial and I purchased the standard edition for £62.99 and when I down it the game still thinks I have to trial and says that I Carnt play the game I have proof of me boring the game if needed
I bought the bundle with NCAA and Madden 25 on Xbox Series X. I am now trying to download the full Madden 25 game on my PC, the EA app says I do not own the game even though I am signed in completely both on my Xbox and my PC. The game opens but only says I have the trial version.
Hey I'm unable to play MUT, it's saying I have the free trail but I said for the MVP bundle
