These Buffs should be added to characters

BLOODHOUND

I think when bloodhound activates his ultimate he should crash into the ground causing some type of aoe damage ONLY in a short radius that he is in AND only in that room, it should not penetrate walls or different height etc, and his ultimate sound should have a sort of scary screech when he uses it to alert the enemy of it, it could causing a constant damage tick, say 2-3 per second you are in it, it doesnt seem like a lot but, it would make a big difference. in a fight you have almost won and stop enemies pushing you.

MIRAGE

I think when you use mirages ultimate, it should be changed to how it was during the event where we had all them dummys, you know, the one where his clones would mimic him and all run in completely different directions? I also think, when you use his tactical, you should be able to control it, by that I mean, at the very least, you should be able to tell it to crouch/slide/mimic shooting etc,

WATSON

I think her tactical ability should be buffed. When you press L1 it takes out her pylons to be placed, but then you should be able to press L2 (since this button isnt used for anything) and increase the intensity of her pylons, to balance this out, instead of using 1 pylon, she would be using 2 slots, and to reflect that to enemy, her electric volts from each pylon changes from 3 lines to 6, also, when L2 is pressed to upgrade the pylon, it would take a second to upgrade, so it could only be used if the enemy has a second to set up, and not during intense fights, in intense fights they would have to set up normally and then eventually they will be able to upgrade the pylon, or possibly even after it is placed, they can upgrade the pylons by staring at them. If 2 pylons per upgrade were an issue, only leaving six to be placed, maybe only 1.5 pylons could be used to upgrade, meaning that instead of having 6 pylons placed after upgrades, you now have 8 pylons to place.

When she is using the upgraded pylons, her hands animation should change to have some sort of item in her hands, for example horns, OR, she should be able to find horns in a random part of the map (changes every game), and when she is close to it, she hears some sort of war horn sound very faintly, which gets louder and louder, until she is in a building vicinity of it, and it glows through buildings to show her where it is.

REVENANT

Now this was a tricky one to think of but I think that he is a good character atm, but something does need to be done about his tactical, at this point I do not have any ideas, but I'm sure me and the community can think of something together.

I do however, have an idea for his ultimate. It is very easy to destroy, and it does not provide much of a challenge to do so. So I think that revanant can either, pick up 2-3 ultimate accelerants and transfuse them in his inventory to create a ultimate accelerant 2.0, which, when used, it would upgrade his ultimate ability, it would provide it with a passive shield which takes an extra 100-150 damage from enemies, it would reflect the changes by having a floating darker red shield aura around it, and his ultimate ability will be increased by another 5 seconds. OR, if this isnt satisfactory, instead of getting 2-3 and transfusing them, possibly adding 10 ultimate accelerant 2.0s (MAXIMUM) around the map. which can also be used by other players, with unknown effects.. (for lifeline it could add a passive 0.5 heal per second while ouit of combat, or it could upgrade her supply drop to give a chance for better lot)

I think another passive should be where he is able to pick up loot from a reasonable distance with his hands and either guide it towards him or able to throw it at an enemy, inflicting 5 damage, (throwing it at an enemy would not guarantee that it hits, it would be up to the player to decide where to throw the item.

OCTANE

Instead of him taking a syringe and it gives him a speed buff, he could sacrifice more of his health for a faster speed buff, thus making it faster for him to escape combat, but he would still need to heal etc, this maybe too much of a buff but I'm not sure.

For his ultimate, octane should be able to jump faster and fall faster, after all it is his, and he does have robotic legs (lol).

WRAITH

I think wraiths tactical ability activation timer should be reduced from 3 seconds to 2 seconds, OR 2.5, along with an increase in her phase time (by 2-3 seconds) to make up for the amount of nerfs she has had since the start of the game.

Wraith should be able to cancel her portal after activating it, since she has no speed buff and she would be running the same speed without it activated.

GIBRALTAR

His shield should be either nerfed to 25, or taken out of the game, he is too OP at the moment and impossible to kill in a 1v1 situation unless he is really bad or you get really lucky (proof = I just lost a gold 1 game because first I was loaded in solo, then after fighting multiple squads to get into the final circle I lost to a gibraltar (in the third team of 1 other) who I was lazering but he just had a lot more health than me due to his shield)

His ultimate should not show the mini circle or make a sound for enemies just before it comes down, it should just show the mini circles for each rocket being shot down, which would increase his effectiveness.

OTHER IDEAS:

The kill leader should be able to have some sort of special taunt for the game which lets the enemy know that they are the kill champion they are fighting, it should be as deep as revanants voice, and it should say something like "are you SURE you want to CHALLENGE ME!?" , or this could possibly add a bunch of new voice lines which the enemy players ONLY hear if the champion uses it, (it could be a button prompt, or the champion could choose to have it auto say it when they are fighting a new squad, this could also let the champion squad know that there is ANOTHER squad rushing into the fight, (it would only auto activate if either the enemy, or the champion squad shoot each other.

I have more ideas but cant think right now, any comments adding ideas are appreciated, I will most likely update this soon.

I also think that players should be able to physically pick up a bodyshield with their hands for a teammate who needs it, while they do this, they should be unable to shoot, or only use light weapons such as a mozambique, or a pistol etc, if they have a heavy weapon like an LMG, or AR, it would be holstered to the left side of their screen, like it does when they run. This way a player can tell the difference between when they are sprinting and when they are carrying a bodyshield, OR, there could be a prompt in the middle of the screen (or bottom) saying "press Square to drop the carried bodyshield" etc.

I also think that every single playable character at this moment in time, since apex has been released for over a year now, should have a second ability, selectable by a wheel in game, like the grenades are for example, and everyone should be able to automatically select which ability they have selected as their primary in the lobby. This would instantly add more viability to the game, new content, AND more fun for everyone!

A feature where you can select your top 3 characters which you prefer, if one is taken it will automatically chose the next one you have listed until you are able to select a character, making accidentally choosing the wrong legend obsolete!

A feature for ranked where if you are in a lobby on your own or with 1 less teammate, you can choose if you want to wait till your party is full to start the game, or to continue as a duo, in trios.

  • @MoNosDirtyGaming The bloodhound aoe thing might be a little too strong. I think Bloodhound is pretty balanced atm, and they don’t need a buff.
Your mirage idea is good. Nothing too op that I can see.
I like the upgrade ability on Wattson. It should probably take like 20 seconds per node to upgrade, (or more), and won’t actually work during the upgrade. This, or maybe if the fences are near her pylon, they are extra charged or something.
Revenant is fine as he is. His ultimate is somewhat easy to destroy, yes, but you just have to find a good place for it rather than just slapping it down anywhere.
Ultimate accelerant 2.0 is an interesting idea.
    Octane ideas are good.
    Kill leader thing is interesting.
  • @Sir_NamedIt would be a little too strong if it would tick for a lot, but its an alternative to caustics gas, where caustics gas ticks for more, bloodhounds ticks for a lot less, because you still have a line of sight, and when you use bloodhounds ultimate you should feel like a BEAST, which it does make you feel, but I think it should make you feel even more unstoppable, plus it also lets players know if there is a bloodhound nearby if the damage he has caused stays on the floor, but not his ticking damage which hurts players.

I think 20 seconds to upgrade per pylon would be too excessive, a lot of things could happen before then, and lets not forget the pylons are very weak to begin with, so it would just ruin the concept of a pylon being upgraded, no one would use it. Maybe 2-5 seconds to be reasonable for an upgrade during combat.

And yes, ultimate 2.0 is a great idea, a lot of players run right past these just because they aren't useful, but just using 1 of these instantly makes you use your ultimate a good few seconds before everyone else in the lobby, which is a great advantage.

@MoNosDirtyGaming Well, bloodhounds ult already makes you feel like a beast. You move at Octane speed, enemies are highlighted in red. It’s also pretty loud, so enemies should be able to hear Bloodhound coming. An air damage effect wouldn’t really fit Bloodhound, plus I think Respawn is trying not to have abilities that do game changing amounts of damage. (Excluding traps, of course. Since they are stationary, and are, well, traps.) This buff would be kind of unnecessary and wouldn’t really fit.
My main point is that you shouldn’t be upgrading during combat. 20 seconds isn’t all that much during off time, and you don’t have to upgrade the nodes. The nodes are weak, but if you place them just right by the entrances, it’ll deter enemies trying to get in.
Carrying a body shield would be a cool addition. But when I think about it, it could maybe become actually a strong mechanic. Say you are carrying a purple body shield. You can bring it with you, and then drop it in a safe area near a fight. Then, go fight, back out when your shield is low and swap, then go back in. This could be kind of op, but it’d be a cool idea.
  • @Sir_Named The idea with these buffs are to enhance on ideas in the base game, which is why they sound OP, it is to add new concepts to the game where there otherwise wouldn't be.

The ideas are to enhance upon the game and possibly give every character a second tactical, thus creating a future of multiple tacticals for each character, which will mean this game is NEVER stale, new ways to play the same characters, along with new characters, new guns, and maps.
Yes the shields idea does sound OP, but it will also take time to do that, and that is what makes the game fun, doing stupid stuff like that. Would you not agree?

@MoNosDirtyGaming Understood. Keep in mind, I’m mainly just pointing out potential reasons/ways it could be too strong.
Although the Bloodhound thing is actually just me thinking it’d be kind of unnecessary and also wouldn’t really fit.
  • @Sir_Named Would you not like to have some sort of map awareness before entering a fight though? Currently you just run/gun and guess who you're fighting, if you was fighting say, a gibraltar for example, would you not like to see more details of the destruction caused by him before you fight him? That way it could be better to co-ordinate an attack to down him first rather than his teammates, making the fight easier, and causing more effective teamwork.

@MoNosDirtyGaming That’s not really how it would work though. Sure, it’d be good to know who I’m up against, but that doesn’t mean everything has to have some lasting effect. Plus, that’s what Bloodhound does.
Anyway, I don’t think Bloodhound should have some aoe damage effect.

@MoNosDirtyGaming Multiple tacticals should be a nobrainer. I should be able to change my Gibby bombs from a circle to a square, cross, pentagon etc.
Crypto should be able to lock doors (up to 3, 1 hit to break) or close supply bins in drone mode.
Octane should passively jump higher and climb faster.
Wattson should be able to sense other fenced nearby.
A whole bunch or additions and change ups should come with ultimate accelerants.
