Weapon buffs and nerfs

Spitfire

- vertical recoil reduction

- horizontal recoil reduction

L-star

- vertical recoil reduction

- horizontal recoil reduction

- increase rounds fired before completely overheating from 23 to 40 rounds.

Havoc

- horizontal recoil increase

The Spitfire has underwhelming dps compared to more than half of the guns in the game and has unnecessary recoil. It should get a recoil reduction buff instead of a damage buff because of how it performed in season 1, it was one of the best guns to use during that time. A good recoil reduction buff would help it compete at those mid to long ranges.

The L-star should receive an increase cooldown buff because light machine guns are meant for suppressive fire and continuous firing. A recoil reduction buff would help it compete at longer ranges and have more consistent dps.

The love using the havoc but it very well does need a nerf. I hear a lot of complaining about the dps and there are a few other guns that can out dps it like the Flatline, R-99, Prowler, Wingman, etc. the damage is not the issue, it’s just that the recoil is too easy to control, which leads to a consistent dps. I think a nice horizontal recoil increase would make it more balanced so you can’t  beam enemies at almost any range.

  • @Genzz85  The Spitfire and L-Star do not need recoil reductions. They are already pretty good. The Spitfire could use an increase in damage output and the L-Star definitely needs more time before it over heats. As for the Havoc... the recoil is already annoying, I think what it really needs is a minor decrease in damage.

  • @Genzz85For L-star, it is a no.
Despite that L-star is a LMG, people use that as a SMG. Although LMG should have a larger mag size (just like the buff that you suggested), but it actually received a nerf before that reduce its time before overheat (from 25 bullets to 22-23? bullets). Maybe there will be another buff if it is really underused, but I am quite sure that just increasing mag size to 40 is not an option since they have nerfed instead of buffed this, or there is a large rework on this gun that make it suits for shooting 40 bullets before overheating (changing lots of stats of this gun).

the L-star i would agree that it would not need the recoil reduction because it has a similar recoil pattern to the alternator, but I don’t really see myself using it at mid range because they’re are better options. Spitfire has recoil for sure, even with a gold barrel stabillizer it still has a fair amount and it needs to be toned down a bit imo, especially if it’s already shooting so slow, why not give it a easy recoil pattern. You can test these things out in the firing range. The Havoc so easy to control I’m not sure what you mean by “already annoying”, the recoil pattern is literally a straight line, its one of the easiest guns to control. A damage nerf is not necessary because it doesn’t need that.

Yeah you’re right, L-star would be a bit op at 40 before cooldown. I would just like the devs to do something nice for the gun. The L-star is an alright gun, it’s just not something i could see myself picking up too often. I think they should really buff the Spitfire honestly, i missed using that gun. Spitfire has more negatives than positive things going for it atm. You’re already moving very slow while ads you’re basically a turtle while trying to strafe with it, it has recoil to it, and a terrible dps. All of that in exchange for a large mag and good hipfire I don’t think is enough to make it a gun you would want to pick over the others.

  • The havoc needs a damage reduction. I wouldn't say by much maybe put it at 14 per shot and a more recoil to the weapon then it should be perfect.

  • @Genzz85 I gotta say I don’t have much feedback except on the energy weapons. They ate this game’s rocket luncher. They don’t even fit well, already have too many rounds compared to round per second capability and should just be care package drops if anything. Having assault weapons on full auto fail to compare to the dps of a havoc and Lstar is ridiculous, which essentially just comes down to stock round capacity off the bat. The weapons are extremely forgiving and need nothing more than a swift removal. But, opinions opinion...
