End of split and season pubs are the worst

Here we are again nearing the end of a split and season and pubs is again a miserable experience because Respawn hasn't done anything with matchmaking!  "Early 2023"my a$$!

Preds, smurfs, & cheaters are all bored with ranked or hard stuck so they are in pubs all day, destroying all the average players, casual players, and newbies.

This is the absolute worst time time to be a solo queue Apex player.

@Kyldenar I know what you're gonna say.  Yes, we are the type of players getting fed to all these people for content.

    It's very strange this season. Apart from the first few weeks, which were atrocious, things have really evened out for me. I hardly ever run across the insta-kill players that I saw at the opening. I seldom see fancy dive trails, and my champions are mostly level 50s with 188 kills. Some of them fight like the devil - I assume they're the smurfs - but for the most part my lobbies are not sweatfests. Maybe I'm in a region that has the new sbmm rolled out? Virginia 2, I think.

    @Kyldenar I agree, if a person is turning the game off daily angry, they should probably do some self reflection.

    For the record I don't get paid to defend anyone and I criticize this game plenty. I just don't lurk and respond to every post with the same agenda is all.

    just stop playing the less user base they have the more they get concerned... imho they can't deal with cheaters/boosters/.etc... cos its thier player base and money...

    The bulk of those players you hate are indeed only playing each other. Top bucket pub lobbies are real and they are exclusively made of Diamonds and up players. So if at any given time these lobbies exist, that means the same players are not comprising your lobbies.

    Iโ€™m not saying the current matchmaking is good. Iโ€™m saying that the absolute bulk of players are being protected from the top 7% of players because matchmaking is keeping you safe from these top bucket lobbies. 

    I (and literally all of my Diamond and Masters friends) are not running through any โ€œeasyโ€ lobbies of average players. Weโ€™re typically locked into the top bucket lobbies where we lose to legitimate preds 99% of the time.

    Somebody has to be the fodder for the whales. And its the high Diamond/low Masters players.

    @Kyldenar I do turn Apex off and go do other things most of the time when it gets like this.

    Typically, I'm gooood with what it is and I play for the really good matches. When Apex works and you have some success, it is spectacularly good. When it goes bad like it does toward the end of splits and seasons, it is absolutely terrible. I play pubs because I can just quit to lobby when it is completely ridiculous.

    I'm looking forward to The Finals and maybe even XDefiant when they come out. I play Overwatch but it doesn't holds my attention long term and haven't gotten into any other MMORPS games like Valorant or MW. Maybe I should.

    I stopped playing ... again. 

    After we got destroyed by a team that had like 20 kills. Obvious smurfs or just

    way more skilled than us. We had been on a bad streak already this broke it.

    Smurfing is cheating. Yet Respawn allows it. It is so much cheating that Hiswattson can get to master

    with no shield, talk about skill gap!!

    The skill gap is so huge they can get to masters with only a sniper, only mozambiques, with no armor, etc.

    Even Valorant did something at some point. They banned Itztimmy live for smurfing in rank.

    @Palette24carats They are so disconnected to the rest of us that instead of admitting this is a skill gap they blame the rank system...

    LIke the best of preds shouldnt be able to get to master without a shield!!
    Well it's about the huge skill gap you use to killl lower skilled players you cheater!!
