Or do what I so and ignore them. It's probably more annoying for them to be ignored than for you to retaliate.

Unfortunately the internet means you encounter about 10,000 times more people in your life in the days before it was a thing (which I am old enough to remember). You therefore encounter 10,000 times more *-holes too.
